I purchased these knives (3-piece) a few years ago and they have been excellent, so I decided to buy some more (6-piece). These new versions have rounded handles instead of the flattened ones, so they don't match. I can get over that, but the handles are objectively shaped worse. The blades and handles look to have been redesigned slightly in their shape and weight which makes them handle worse as well. Overall, these knives are "fine" but they used to be "great" - especially for their price. Maybe the difference is between the 3-piece VS the 6-piece, but looking at old photos from reviews I can see that the older 6-piece set was the same as the 3-piece set, so I don't think that's the issue. My new ones also came with several defects in the metal that would lead to rust and breakage of the blades as well as a warped knife holder and some minor issues with the handles as well (though I could live with those). I ended up sending mine back for those reasons, but assuming they were an anomaly - this is still an ok knife set. I wish the quality hadn't deteriorated from previous versions, but oh well, at least I still have the old version!

Love this knife set! Great quality and value for the price!! The bamboo holder fits perfectly in the drawer which helps keep them organized. I would definitely purchase again.

Not quite as quality as you get in a high end set, A little hard to keep sharp

I'm no chef but these knifes are an amazing deal, crazy high quality and great looks and the set is basically every knife you would need for kitchen use with no extra fluff. When you use a knife it gets dull, get a simple sharpener and learn how to use it. Ridiculous that someone would complain about the edge dulling.

The knives are excellent with tangs that extend the full length of the handles. The knives are well-weighted in your hand. The wooden holder is good looking whether you put it into a drawer or have it out on the counter.
