UV Resistant Review: Used on my concrete floor - So I wanted a bright white concrete floor sealer—Rust Bullet has a “special” Rust Bullet Concrete coating, but it is a dull “back of aluminum foil grey” color and was 2x the price of the the “Rust Bullet White Shell” I purchased. Rust Bullet only developed their concrete line after customers “accidentally” found that their regular product made a great concrete floor sealer. Long story short I decided to get adventurous and go with just the White Shell over my concrete slab, as opposed to using it as a top coat (if you dig deep enough on RB’s website you’ll find an FAQ that essentially says “yeah, you can go with just a colored version, but it ain’t as good as our special concrete mix”). Application was simple, using a 3/8 nap roller as described in their instructions. The coating went on easy, with good coverage. I did a total of four coats (each gallon got me about 450 square feet of coverage, which is consistent with RB’s estimate). I also bought a cheap 5# tub of “white decorative sand” and broadcast it over coats 2 and 3 while they were wet (for nonslip). The whole project took a solid day, allowing 4-6 hours between coats. The end result is great. I will update this review as the product wears. UPDATE: Unfortunately this product has not worn well on my concrete floors after a couple of months. Yes, this is not the "special concrete floor" variety, but I fee like I would have gotten better results with a bucket of cheap Killz primer. Rust Bullet, please amend your description of this product to say "absolutely do not use as anything other than a top coat, because if you do it will flake horribly and you will be wasting your time." The parts of the floor which see zero traffic still look great, so two stars for that, but the pathways/areas where work actually occurs isn't holding up. Review: Next best thing to stainless steel - Next best thing to stainless steel! Great adhesion. Use on cool surface in morning or late afternoon. Reacts quickly to heat and sun. But overall great product for metal and more!
