Buttons don’t work, fan is barely blowing air
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Just received today. The air is blowing slightly but won’t allow adjustment to wind speed. Mine didn’t light up. Most importantly, the fan was garbage!! On high if felt like an extremely faint breeze and I’m extremely. I’m not sure if tye one I have has a malfunction but I feel ridiculous for listening to the reviews. DO NOT BUY! Will be returning.

Read the instructions, please.
Well I purchased this before I read the reviews. My bad. After reading the reviews I was all set to be disappointed. On the contrary, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. If you READ and FOLLOW the instructions, this little gem works like a champ. I filled it up with cold water, put a few ice cubes in, let it sit for 15 minutes so the filter could have time to absorb the cold water, turned it on and COLD AIR immediately! Yes, you might get reservoir condensation depending on your humidity, just like you would with a glass of iced tea. Yes, the fan will only blow out room temperature air if you don't put cold water in the reservoir. Yes, it will not cool a large area because that's not what it is intended to do. It's a Personal Air Cooler and I am totally satisfied with it. It's definitely not a toy. It will be a permanent fixture in my RV for the remainder of this summer. Of course it's not going to cool the whole RV, but I have it on half speed near my bed. Great sleeping!

Just Average Personal AC
This personal AC is easy to use, but it's more like a glorified fan. It cools a very small area.

Silly joke of a cooling fan.
A joke. Smallest of fans blowing hardly any air. Would maybe work 12" from your face. Tried it in a closet size room. Worthless. Additionally, the water tank created condensation that dripped onto the surface I had this device sitting on. I'm returning it. Fan power: Minimal Water leakage: Condensation on water tank Air flow: Pathetic.

Not worth the money
I gave it to stars because the fan at least works. As far as it being an air conditioner..... I believe it is just a glorified cool humidifier with a nice mood light..... Using a TIF 7201 - Pocket IR Thermometer.... I noticed no difference in air temperature whether it had no water... Plain water.... Or ice water .. so it functions as a fan basically and if you put water in it may humidify air but it does not make the air any cooler. I feel like I could get the same effect putting a bowl of water in front of any fan

Great little ac unit!
I took this to my work for one of the rooms that is like an oven and super humid. The room Is about 10 x 9. If you close the door to keep in the cold air it’s like being in an icebox after about 45 minutes. This thing has been so impressive! It’s a little confusing when you turn it on because the display says 99 and it seems like you should hit the minus button to make it cooler but you actually want to keep the number higher for colder output. As soon as I figured that out, it was great! Will probably buy another one for my daughter’s bedroom. Using the colored light allows you to see the water level easier. I know it says to use ice cubes for colder air, but I don’t have access to ice cubes at my work and I’m in Tucson, Arizona where the sink water does not come out cold in the summer so it’s basically going in about room temperature and it still works great.

Decent Little Desk Cooler
This review is for the Personal Air Cooler. I chose this cooler over others because it had a better review base:score ratio and a decent 20% coupon at the time of ordering. First things first about these small evap coolers. Don’t expect them to cool a room. It’s a personal fan with a collection filter that helps cool the air coming out of the fan box. These do not use a refrigerant to hyper cool the air. Mine sits on my desk, 15 inches away from me, inside a non-climate controlled warehouse and I’ve stopped sweating. But it’s slightly-cooler-than-ambient-temps air. In to the nitty gritty. It’s functioning as expected. I load mine with ice water and turn the fan speed all the way up. The RGB lighting is a nice touch but not super bright so at times not really noticeable. But this is not necessary for function. Inside the bustling but not overbearing warehouse I work at, I can hear the fan turning. If you were in a quiet office space, it might not be too bad, but there may be some who wouldn’t like it as it is audible. I haven’t experienced any leakage aside from the condensation occurring on the outside of the reservoir. I think those who ran into leakage issues may have done the Filter Freezing method to increase cooling but all that does is keep the filter from absorbing/evaporating the water you put in the tank efficiently so it has nowhere to go but overflow. The valve at the bottom of the reservoir is gravity-fed so the system needs the filter to balance proper water displacement. I suppose those others simply could have had a defective valve too. I don’t know but mine is doing fine. Just in case, however, I did put a shop towel and a plastic bag under it so it doesn’t get to my computer/electronics if it did leak but aside from the condensation, the towel is dry after running for 4 hours now. I have refilled the tank once in this time frame and added ice 2-3 times. *If there was one thing I would like to see improved would be a slightly better fan. For the price this unit is typically listed for ($70), it could definitely blow a bit harder. The $7 USB fan you see on top of the unit in my photo blows a little harder than this cooler’s fan. There is also enough space within the cooler to house a slightly bigger fan/motor without affecting the bottom line of these units. Overall, I’m pleased. For the price paid, it may seem a little high even with the discount, but as long as it lasts, then I’m good!

Doesn’t do enough.
I can’t imagine a situation where this tiny unit would make a bit of difference. Even in the dry desert where swamp coolers of a larger size work very well. This device uses a laptop fan to weakly blow air through a cardboard-like wick. Tried it and it made no difference in Virginia.
