Hinge Outlet Spring Hinge Tension Pin Replacement Kit with Hex Wrench - 4 Pack

Never knew we had a self-closing door on our new house. The contractors never put in the pins. Found out about it when I needed to remove the door to get large items in. Looked up this kit, decent price, and used the hex key to set the tension, pushed in the pins, and now it runs perfect.

These worked great for our door to the garage. The original pins were misplaced. This was a lot cheaper than buying whole new hinges.

The product came exactly as it was listed. Unfortunately, the pins were too large to work with my hinges. It would be helpful if the pin size was listed in the specs of the product to make sure they would work before attempting to purchase/use them. If they had been the right size, however, this would have been exactly what I needed to fix my hinges.

Easy task to attach spring for automatic closing. 5 min tops

The pins were too thick for the spring hinges on my door. Mine are probably original from the late 80’s. Had to return them and just used some decent gauge wire clippings.Overall the quality seemed good, but dimensions didn’t work for me.

I needed to tighten my tension springs and could find anything at HD or Lowe’s so I ordered this kit. It arrived and it worked great! Comes with extra pins which I needed to replace the bottom spring.

Pins in the listing are shown to be 0.7” length by 0.08” diameter. Actual diameter as measured with calipers (see pic) is in excess of 0.12” and pin does not fit in the hinge. Returning for replacement, will update if replacement is different.
