Envirovent Silent Design Extractor Fan 4" Shutter & Adjustable Timer And Adjustable Humidity Sensor

I bought this as a replacement as I've remodelled the bathroom. Easy enough setup & the timer set at 15mins goes off as you'd expect unless there's still humidity in the room, then it carries on until it hit the humidity you've set it to. What I like about it is that it comes on when you have a bath or shower even if you don't have the light on as the sensor picks up a change in humidity. It's inobtrusive too having a plain front & a small light indicating whether or not it's on. The colour of the light can be changed by sliding out the coloured plastic & replacing it with one of three other colours. It's only been fitted a week so I don't know about longevity but so far so good... oh & it's quieter than the last one so I can't really hear it when I'm out of the bathroom.. happy days!

I bought this to replace the silent 100 humidity fan that had died after 10 good years of service in a very humid ensuite. We bought it because it looked nicer than the standard design, thinking it would give similar extraction rates. It doesn’t.My ensuite was wetter than an otters pocket after an hour of this fan running, I’ve spent the last 4 months trying every combination of switches to get it extract without running 24hrs a day and dry out my ensuite. This is simply the best example of taking something that works perfectly and over engineering it. The electronic control is rubbish, far too many choices, of which non work. It’s so wet in my ensuite the door swelled up and you could hardly open and close it.Gave up in the end and replaced it with a standard silent 100 humidistat version, which dries my ensuite out within hours of finishing a shower.

Really nice design, slim and works really well. The plumber said that installation was very straightforward. I havent quite yet tried the timer but one thing that I noticed was that it works for considerably longer than the previous device I had. However, this product is much quieter than what I had before.

It is so slow to remove moisture, it is more or less useless from that stand point. It is quiet and works; however did not live upto the claim is literature. Should have returned it!!

I have just fitted an Airflow and a Kair fan and this is much better. It's a really nicely made bit of kit. Note the covers over the connectors and dim switches. The pick to change the switches with. The inserts so you can change the colour of the light. It's all thought through carefully and it is quality.It's not quite as quiet as the airflow but then it does move rather more air. It depends what you want. In one bathroom you only need a light turnover so airflow is ideal. Here we need more so this is ideal.I think the only thing one could improve here would be the ability to change the fan speed. That way one could adapt it to the room.

I was expecting the model with humidity sensor as per the description but the model I received (marked Silent-100 S DESIGN) has no dip switches or humidity settings/sensor that I can see. Have I been ripped off or am I confused?Edit: Yes, I was sent the most basic model with no humidity sensor or timer. I'd already removed the old extractor ready to fit it and was beyond the 30 return period anyway so wasn't minded to send it back.Check your item when it arrives folks.I paid over 70 quid for a 40 quid fan.Thanks a lot.
