Great sounding pocket DAB+ radio that can play also WAV files from a micro SD.
Raddy RD 939 is a very good pocket portable DAB+ radio for the price. The sound is strong for it's size with strong bass. I am pleased with the sound and I am not very easy to please when is about sound quality. Not many cheap DAB+ radios can display the broadcaster radio station logo and sadly that's the case here. Is not a deal breaker, but I just wanted to mention it. Battery life is not the best I have seen but considering the size of the radio is great. 6-7 hours depending on volume. Positive - sound quality first of all - size - very good price for features - the fact that it can play WAV files from USB and micro SD is amazing in my opinion, you don't usually see this even on more expensive radios Negative - shorter battery life then I want - just complaining here ha ha - reception is good but sometimes it drops a second when you move the radio. This may vary depending where you live. Overall one of the best radios at this price point feature packed.

Brilliant radio & music player which fits in your shirt pocket
This is the BEST very small radio you can buy at present, it’s brilliant imho. Please don’t expect it to beat your hifi system or large Bluetooth speaker for audio performance, BUT this has absolutely wonderful sound for a radio you can fit in your shirt pocket! It has dab+, fm, Bluetooth & you can play music from sd card or usb drive. Also UsbC charging, EQ presets, sleep timer - pretty fully featured for a device this size/price 👍 I felt I must also just comment on another reviewer’s remarks that this has less bass than the Raddy RD23: I also own that radio, and it is really decent as well, but I’m not sure where on earth that reviewer got his ears from… I can assure you this RD939 absolutely has MORE bass than the RD23. It’s not rib-crushing bass, obviously, I’m struggling to comprehend how the smaller RD23 could be perceived by anyone as having more bass than the bigger speaker on the RD939 - perhaps he hasn’t figured out there’s an EQ button on the rd939 which alters bass response significantly, but please believe me when I tell you the rd939 easily has MORE bass warmth then the even smaller, older rd23…. Jeez 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ The RD939 is pretty much everything I wanted the older RD23 to be 👌 It’s a wonderful update to the admittedly very nice rd23. Fantastic, incredibly portable radio/music player 👍👍👍 This is absolutely perfect for lightweight travel, camping, fishing, bathroom use, etc. PS I got over 12 hours battery life at around 16-20 volume (out of max level 32) on dab listening to speech radio - decent, but I’d have preferred a much bigger battery to extend battery life further. I did a full review of this radio on PooPube if you wanted a look 🤷♂️👍

Excellent radio. Unnecessary external storage.
Had more than one of these, and as radio's they are superb. Cons small display size. can only access 5 presets from keypad. USB AND SD card expansion slot waste of space on top panel Pro's Small size Excellent DAB and FM reception (As good as any radio I own) Good battery life Sliding On/Off switch Rotary volume control Basic but useable MP3 player Final thought Is anyone really going to plug a pendrive into this radio! when SD scard can be used ?

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic- Nice to discover something that does what is supposed to do- Very pleased with this item but I would like to inform the designers of the fact that their is a equalisation discrepancy between the audio out on the internal speaker and the response we get from the headphone jack - Using a good quality headset such as my Scullcandy set with a total flat audio response (20hz - 20khz) I notice that the bass region is somewhat lacking in comparison to the treble region - In fact the treble is way accentuated through the phone jack leaving the only option is to us the radio's EQ function and putting it into the ROCK mode which increases the bass region somewhat but the overall treble level is still too high. None of this would bother the average listener and would only be noticeable by an audiophile such as my self so do not let this put anybody off purchasing this unit as it is only a minor gripe and if I wanted to I could design a low/middle pass filter to put into the headset line to correct this but like I say that most people wouldn't notice anyway and in truth if anyone with a nasty cheap set of headphones where the treble is lacking then this radio would sound better. Like I say it is only a minor gripe and I thoroughly can recommend this radio, I also like the facility of the USB.A socket on top of the unit for playing thumb drives - also the TF card (MMS) slot for playing MP3's also. Considerable thought has gone into this unit and at its price point is spot on and beyond expectation and in fact I have ordered another...

raddy rd939 paracitic battery drain problem.
I received my rd939 and, after charging it was initially impressed. The next day I found the battery completely drained and am certain the radio was completely turned off and not even in standby mode. I recharged it again and left it overnight again with the same result. Unfortunately, I removed the ridiculous wrist strap so cannot return this radio. On looking on the models it seems that other Raddy models have suffered from the same problem so I would suggest that Raddy has some quality control issues to address. Very disappointed.

Excellent little radio
Too little pocket radio that offers something different to other radios in this niche. The display is great, sound good for a small radio and it offers great portability. If I had to nitpick it would be the supporting back stand that you slot in to make it stand. I won’t be using this as it will just get lost. You can’t click it I to place to travel with it. Apart from that I’m very happy with this radio.

Good but with a fundamental flaw
Very good solidly built feel to the radio. Good layout of the buttons with instant access to EQ. Plenty of options in the settings menu. Unfortunately the radio loses its stereo capability even with 100% signal, the stereo icon flashes on and off rapidly and is confirmed through headphones, reset to factory settings 3 times, no fix. Maybe it’s just my sample but I have to return because of this fault.

Great pocket DAB radio.
A fantastic little radio. DAB+ reception is excellent, it picks up signals really well and the sound is really good for such a small unit. The only issue is that the radio doesnt have a flat bottom so doesnt stand up on its own and the little rest to support it is unsatisfactory and easily lost. But as a portable radio it ticks all the boxes - even uses a USB C for charging.
