Let me first say that I consider myself to be experienced having approximately 45years behind me with building models.The detail of the model is very nice with the moulding being of a very high quality, typical Trumpeter. You also have a choice of using either a plastic gun barrel or a metal one. Great!But in my kit I found the plastic extremely brital which made separating small parts from the sprue. They would simply shatter into many pieces, making them unusable to say the least! I use a scalpel for such jobs and could not gain any headway at all. I ended up using wire and other odds and sods from my spares box. But this has it's limitations. I was getting close to finishing the model and picked it up and placed it on the palm of my right hand when it simply EXPLODED into pieces!! I have NEVER seen this happen before in a model and I think it must have been due to the plastic being brittle. Perhaps I just had a bad kit which sometimes happens, I don't know. In any event I scooped it all up and put it in a bottom drawer.So if anyone wants a metal and plastic gun barrel with parts message me and it will all be yours, I've had it with this one so will move on to a British 17 pounder

Gleich eingangs sei erwähnt, dass es sich natürlich nicht um eine Selbstfahrlafette ( wie in einer Rezension erwähnt ) handelt, sondern um das Geschütz selbst ! ( s.FH steht ja nicht für "selbstfahr..." sondern für "schwere - s. - Feldhaubitze - FH - ). Ein beeindruckender, in allerbester Qualität ausgeführter Bausatz mit wahlweise zu verwendendem Metallrohr mit Drallandeutung und Gummibandagen für die Bereifung der Räder. Der Modellbauer findet Spritzgussrahmen mit beinahe unglaublich filigran gespritzten Plastikteilen vor, welche zusätzliche PE - Teile überflüssig machen. Die Details sind auf höchstem Niveau, die dazu benötigten Plastikteile sind sehr vorsichtig zu behandeln. Die Bauanleitung muss sehr eingehend studiert werden, wie bei Trumpeter anscheinend üblich, ist die Darstellung nicht immer auf Anhieb ersichtlich. Leider geht der Bauplan nicht auf die Darstellung in Feuerstellung ein, da wird man wohl einiges "herausfummeln" müssen. Ein Bausatz der absoluten Spitzenklasse, der wärmstens zu empfehlen ist !
