This is a nice little case for the S9 Ultra. Would I have preferred a magnetic attachment? Yeah, honestly, I would. But this offers a little bit of drop protection and remains pretty thin. The angle of the spots the tablet rests in when open are okay on a table/desk. If you're using this on your lap, I find it has a tendency to slide flat if you move around or try to write or draw that way. But expected from little more than a padded groove and friction on the soft material inside. I do love the cutout for the S-Pen on the back. It's a really good size, offers decent protection to keep it from getting knocked off unintentionally, and makes it quite easy to reach back and grab when you want to use it. Very nice. Sitting on my desk, I also found the grooves where the tablet rests are a great size to set the S-Pen in so it won't roll away on you. If I'm playing media, I can set the S-Pen in there with the button up and quickly play/pause or pick it up for air actions to skip forward/back or adjust volume quickly. Handy in the office! While my search will go on for a decent case with a fully adjustable kickstand on the back (like a Surface Pro), I'm happy with this. It offers protection on all corners while not being too hard to take off when needed, good angles on a flat surface, and feels durable.
