These tiny bowls are hard to find. They are useful for small amounts of things like ketchup dipping or dressing on side etc.

I used to use these Fruit Bowls for everything but since I discovered the newer Fiesta Small Bowl, I now mostly use the Fruit Bowls as spoon rests while I'm cooking. They are great for that & fit in the dishwasher better than a real spoonrest.If you've ever worked in a restaurant you'll know the Fruit Bowls as "monkey bowls," the little bowls you might use for a side of green beans or something.But the Small Bowl is a little bigger than the Fruit Bowl and has taller sides, so I am now using those for side dishes that won't fit on the dinner plate (or that contain a lot of liquid you don't want to run everywhere i.e. creamed corn).They are a little more functional for sides not only because they're bigger but also because the more vertical sides (as opposed to the sloped sides of the Fruit Bowl) make it easier for kids to eat out of without pushing food out onto the table.The Fruit Bowls stack/nest nicely & will take up less cabinet space than the Small Bowls though.It's a tough decision which one comes out on top, but if I only wanted to buy one I would go with the Small Bowls just because they can do everything the Fruit Bowls can do & more.

This is the best bowl ever! I bought a few of these to use as a dish for my cats food, I had one that fell about 3 feet off a shelf, landed on a hard floor, bounced twice and landed upside down. I knew it had to be broken for sure, but when I picked it up - like new! No cracks, no dings, nothing! I was amazed and bought more. I very highly recommend this dish! For those who are looking for a good dish for their cats, this one is perfect. It is big enough to hold my cats food perfectly with out anything spilling out, and wide enough that my cats don't feel bothered by their whiskers brushing the side. It is also large enough to use for some cheese and crackers/fruit, probably a servings worth if you are looking for it to use for yourself. Would also be a perfect size to hold change and your keys sitting next to the door if you wanted. Its a great little dish!

MUCH smaller than anticipated... by Fruit Bowl, I was anticipating something which could fit a few pieces of fruit: 2 or 3 bananas, 1 or 2 plums, a small cluster of grapes, etc. This is small enough to fit ONE apple, or just the grapes alone. I am giving it four stars because the Sunflower yellow is really a lovely, sunny, happy shade of yellow, and Fiesta dishware is all-around awesome - very affordable, long-lasting and many beautiful shades to choose from. But they have so many bowls now of a hundred different sizes and diameters, I should have more thoroughly checked the measurements to ensure this was as large as expected; sadly I will be returning this one.

I have one of these fruit bowls in every color Fiesta has ever made! They make terrific cat food bowls when I give my two cats their 1/4 can of Friskies morning and night. The "stuck-on" food soaks off easily or washes off easily in the dishwasher. It doesn't make any difference which colors come out of the cabinet since all the colors coordinate well with all the others. What do the cats have to say about them? "Meow . . . meow . . . meow." (Translation: "I love you!" or maybe they're saying "Just feed us!" Whatever . . . it works.) I've only broken one dish in all the years I've used them when I dropped it on the tile floor. My husband got quite a kick out of telling everyone they are made of vitreous china . . . same as the toilet bowl.

I was not sure if this was the size I needed, I ordered just one to check the size. It is a beautiful red that matches my other pieces. It is too small for my needs. It should hold half a peach or apple, maybe a few grapes. Listen to the lady uses these to feed the cats, it might hold one small can of cat feed. My grand-puppy would expect more ice cream than it will hold. It was delivered quicker than the expected due date. I'm very pleased with the packaging, it was wrapped to prevent breakage. I would order from this seller again.
