Used it to mark all equipment for trade school. We opted for a series of dots and dashes and it worked well. To engrave script might take practice.

I recently picked up this electric engraving pen and after using it on a few different projects I'm genuinely impressed. For anyone looking to get into engraving, this is a solid choice. The dual-directional rotation is great. It makes working in tight spaces or getting precise lines much easier. I've tried it on glass, some softer metals, and even a piece of wood, and it handled them all without a hitch. The claim of 60+ surfaces seems plausible. It's comfortable to hold, and the learning curve is surprisingly short. The included 30 bits provide a great starting variety for different materials and engraving styles, and the "Mastery Guide" (while I haven't gone through it extensively) looks like a genuinely helpful resource for getting started.

I bought this tool a few months ago. I cannot find what type of wood it works on. It does not work well I can’t find wood that will let me engrave on it. I’ve tried so many different types of wood. I was excited when I saw it so I bought it and very disappointed.

I bought this more for art than for engraving and it works perfectly. I do fine detail work in sculptures of clay and wood and this pen is perfect. Comfortable grip and weight. There are so many tips (30!) that I have not even tried them all yet. Battery life is great. Three speeds too.

I bought this electrical engraving pen for my husband that does furniture work. He loves it and says it is easy to use for his designs, it includes various attachments that can be used to enhance his finishing materials. Easy to charge and last long. He also says it is great value tor the price paid.

Doesn't glide through wood as smoothly as I thought it would.

I love this engraver and would give it 5 stars except for the fact that it doesn't come with any buffers or sanding pieces. When I engrave on glass, I especially need the buffer tip to shine up the glass after I'm finished.

Works really well for cleaning up small details on wood working and engraving names onto metal and plastic. A light touch is required and it takes time into engrave things. Really handy that it’s battery powered and rechargeable. I can use this on so many different things.
