Works great, just try different nail brand
Great finish gun, just a little heavy and bulky. I purchased no brand finish nails and I had the same issues others had like blank shots and nails don't go all the way. But when I purchased porter-cable, it works fine, no issues at all.

This tool caused me to switch all my tool to Milwaukee!
This is the Makita tool that caused me to switch to Milwaukee. I got my love for Makita from my dad, but now both my dad and I have switched. Makita has not been up to par for year and this is the tool that finally caused us to switch. From day one this tool would either misfire nails or only shoot them in 1/4 of the way at best. I had to totally tear the gun apart (which is not easy) and grease all O rings. This took about a half a day. Like I said not easy. After that it works, but still is not great. There are way better option out there. Even the cheaper brands are better. By Makita!

Use Good Nails
Well I purchase this a few years ago and used it once when i got it, Not impressed, here why i was not impressed.....I purchased the nails that Amazon recomended (Sitldy). BIG mistake, After not using it for about a year out of frustration I wanted to try it again, Still not working correct. call Makita Talked to several people, but the last guy. said it was very important to use either Dewalt, porta Cable etc. I happen to have some Dewalt 16ga. from another gun (air) Put them in the Makita and BAM That drove the nails all the way home with no problem. I would have given it 5 stars, but Makita should know where they are sold and and ensure they have a big warning about using specific

I like it better than the Brad nailer
Its not a perfect tool, but its a marked improvement over the cordless Brad. This nailer is much better balanced, and drives a ton of nails before needing a battery change. I just finished hanging crown in a few rooms of a house with it. I was pleased with the nail depth, its not as consistent as a pneumatic nailer but decent over all. I drove several hundred nails with it and only had go go back with a nail punch on 3 or 4 nails. The depth adjustment is really tough to do by hand, to get mine moving I needed pliers. I would recommend this gun, Its nice not having to drag out compressor. I do have one complaint / warning. It's crazy loud, make sure you have hearing protection especially in small rooms.
