Not bad for neonate puppies
I foster abandoned kittens and puppies. I hate using the regular claw cutters on neonates because their nails are so tiny. I’m afraid I will cut a tootsie on accident. The xxsmall is still way too big for a one week old puppy, but I was able to make it work very carefully. Tiny babies are so easy to manipulate at this age, they have no idea what’s happening while they sleep. What made it so simple was being able to hook a tiny claw in the hole just enough to hook it in there and then slowly cut to ensure I wasn’t cutting more than necessary. The shorter toes and dewclaws will have to wait until the paw grows a little bigger, but at least I won’t be getting clawed while bottle feeding. 😇I wish they had a .5 or .25 mm so I could cut with more confidence. I haven’t tried it on a neonate kitten, but I’m pretty sure it will be too big for them as well until they hit upwards of 6-7 weeks. Wouldn’t wait until then to start clipping unless you want to traumatize the poor baby 😆.I’m definitely getting the small size for my own young dog. I’m hoping this may help us get through trims a lot faster 😊. I just hope I sized her correctly 😆

The hole is very small, even on the large
I originally ordered the medium size for my miniature dachshunds...none of their toe nails would fit in the hole. I then ordered the large. It worked on most of their nails but, only the very tip. Leaving their nails still too long. They make no noise when cutting and cut very cleanly. Which makes cutting their nails much easier and better than any other cutters I've used. And, less stress on the pups.

They work as promised
I have an 11 year old cat, who has until recently been a free range country cat, now in a 34ft trailer, no tree to climb, so, for the first time, she needs her nails clipped. She went to sleep on my lap, she didn't know that there was a tiny, tiny drop of cbd on that lovely sardine, she also didn't know that her claws were shorter.

The best nail clipper, no more stress!
It used to stress me out trying to clip my dogs nails. This worked easily, quickly and took the stress out of cutting her nails. So much cheaper and convenient than going into the vet or groomer. For reference, we have a 10 lb. Aussiedoodle and the size medium worked. I was still hesitant to slide her nail in tightly for the first use but this seems to take the right amount off without hitting the quick.

Very safe
I'll never use another clipper. These are so easy to control on my squiggly little dogs. Medium size works well for my YorkiePoos (6 & 7lbs) As wit any clipper you still need to be careful but not likely to cut off too much as with open end clippers. Highly recommend

Good in concept
Concept: A plus. They cut well, and they are easy to use. Quality seems great too. These are great little clippers.. if they fit your pet. And that’s a little tricky. I gotta give the company props, they try to make this easy, with multiple sizes available and a little cardboard sizing kit. But it’s tricky to really accurately size your pet. (I bought two, and the smallest is still too big).An additional smaller size would be useful (maybe more, I know bird owners clip claws, and they are a popular pet, but I would assume there are other smaller pet claws that need clipping). There are several sizes available, which is good, it covers a wide range, but it doesn’t cover everything. Don’t assume that the smallest size will be safe for your pet. Many birds claws will go completely up to the top of the nail in the smallest size available, which can be dangerous. Additionally, if the whole claw is able to go through the whole, it can get stuck if the pet is jerking around (as they tend to) and it can be difficult to safely get the clippers off the nail. Pay attention when you are cutting your pets nails that you don’t clip to short.Note: for reference to those purchasing for birds, the smallest available clipper is too big for a galah cockatoo. So anything medium sized parrot or smaller, the smallest is the one you are looking at and you are still going to have to be extremely careful when doing your trims. Be careful not to let them get stuck in the clippers, not that they make that easy.

The best innovative design I've used!
If the animal is anxious these won't fix that but if sized right the time needed to trim nail is 1/2 or less. Absolutely a great clipper, If sized correctly!!

Have the full set, worth their weight in gold
I have different sized dogs including Chihuahuas, toy poodles and min schnauzers. I purchased one pair to try, loved them, so I purchased a full set (except the very largest which i don;t need) Yes it was expensive to purchase the full set, but they are worth their weight in gold in my opinion, I can choose exactly the right size for each of my dogs, and I havn't nipped a quick at all since using these. The dogs are not as nervous with these as they are with normal clippers, and they are so quick and easy, and safe. I don;t use them for puppies, just adults as they are a bit bulky for small pups. they are perfect, a very good buy and recommended.

misleading sizes.
we ordered these after reading the other reviews. but our findings were not anything like the others. for a start off we took our time sort out what size so we downloaded a copy from Zen. We then tried looked at it and ordered two sizes down from the top,as we have two Rough Collies the youngest one 8 months old. When they came we tried them on our puppy and her claw would not go into them.properly, then on trying them we found the amount of pressure was so that you could not operate them ,so we had to sent them back, if you are thinking of buying take your time as we thought we had to get the right size .

As good as Zen claim
Are Zen Pet Nail Clippers as good as the claims made?I finally bought a pair for my Cookerpoo who has always suffered the greatest “nail clipper fear” and yes they worked. This time he didn’t seem to realise that I’d actually trimmed his nails, he was totally chilled! I have now bought 2 more pairs of graduating sizes for the other dogs and won’t be changing brand any time soon. They do cut quietly, quickly and without injury, just follow the instructions but do download/ print the size sheet before buying. My dogs are now so relaxed when I trim their nails, a relief for me and them. They are the perfect size, lightweight and easy to use tooThank you Zen Clipper!Katzenworld also offer a 1st rate service

best clippers
Best clippers I have ever used. It's also the first time I have ever used animal clippers. I saw a video and it looked so w=easy to do with no pain to the animal I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I purchased these clippers they are so easy to use and my kitten had no idea what I was doing. I'm happy my furniture is saved and that I was able to give my kitten a trim with no pain to him what so ever. I highly recommend the Zen Clipper to anyone with any pet.

best nail clippers for cats
these clippers are so easy to use. You simply can't cut to deep. I'm not stressed = cats are not stressed either. Wish I'd discovered them years ago
