How well suited are these to stick to the bottom of a rocking recliner?

Don’t bother buying these! They’re useless. Glue comes off instantly and rubs onto the floor leaving a mess.

Will these foot pads really help prevent our recliner, which isits on carpet, from slidding back when we sit in it?

Your recliner should not be *sliding* back when you sit in it. Now, if you're plopping or flopping or otherwise launching yourself into the chair, then yes, it will continue to move unless it is secured to the floor. Just a general note; these pads are designed to protect hard surface floors as opposed to carpet.

I need to raise furniture at least 1/2 inch. Would I be able to stack 2 or 3 of these on top of each other & then put furniture on the pads?
