Fun, Silly lowball Cheese Fest of Wonder, Mexican Style!!
I love the Lucha Madness that is Santo or Samson in the US remakes!!! This one is right up there with Santo vs the Martians, and the ever pervasive Aztec Mummy!!! The Blob is somekind of Rubberized Patchwork of an undetermined count of people pushing and streching it until it becomes a ribberizes "Flash Mob" of slimyness in the sights of Santo and those he swears to protect!!! It's very close to the other timeless classic "Creeping Terror", but better, LOL!!!! If you enjoy Lucha Libre, Santo, overacting and Monsters from alien test tubes....this movie needs to be in your collection!!

Santo Contra Los Asesinos de Otros Mundos (Santo vs. The Assassins from Other Worlds)
Silly early 1970's Spanish-language, Mexican-made El Santo sci-fi/adventure. Santo has to fight two separate villains. One appears to be from outer space and one is terrestrial. Both use a biological weapon that creates a ridiculous blob-like creature that leaves icky remains after it feeds. The effects for the blob is simply a bunch of film crew under a wet beige tarp. It always seems to catch up to its prey even though it shuffles along slowly and the prey runs at top speed. Still, typical of most El Santo films of the period and certainly watchable. I bought the Televisa Home Entertainment / Xenon Pictures DVD release and it is fine quality and worth getting. Recommended for El Santo fans.

Dreadful.
I like Santo. I'm no snob about cheap flicks. But this film is simply a major drag. It moves slowly, has no drama to it, and is filled with dull speeches. The monster is predictably fake, but not in a fun way. I only gave this two stars because the print looks good and the sound is okay. But really, I can't imagine anyone loving this film. The one about Frankenstein's Daughter is much more fun, and watchable in ways this one never is. Avoid at all costs.

El Santo
Classic movie from the Golden Age of Mexican Movies. I was surprised that I enjoyed the humor or maybe it was meant to be serious????? Yes, it was a bit over the top, the but this old movie brought a new experience that you do not enjoy today. It was fun and enjoyable with a storyline that you can have fun with.

Santo vs. the blob!
Four people have been killed and three of them were very important people. Of all the detectives that Mexico can call, Santo seems like the best pick. The bad guys want $10 million in 24 hours, but with the man in the silver mask looking for them, perhaps the cops are right to not negotiate with maniacs. It turns out that the killer is a blob, which means that Santo has faced nearly every great movie monster of the past and has now moved into the modern era. But now he has to content with a bad guy who forces him to battle numerous men in gladiator matches before revealing that he has moon rocks that he is growing into creatures willing to do his bidding. Let’s give it up for Santo in this one because he goes all Indiana Jones and instead of a long fight, he just grabs a machine gun and blows away a bunch of henchmen.Let me go back and break down that scene again. Santo is forced to battle bad guy after bad guy in a room that looks like it has fake stars and one of them has a flamethrower. I don’t know why anyone makes movies any longer when we have movies like this that give you that scene and then remember that the film is really about a blob. That blob not only attacks innocents, it also eats one of the major bad guys and a villain’s girlfriend.Don’t get too excited about that blob. It really looks like several people under a sheet, which makes me so much happier than any special effect could. I also enjoy a bad guy who makes all of his men wear neckbands that gas them if they screw up.Director Rubén Galindo also made Santo vs. the She-Wolves which flirts with gothic horror inside the world of the man with the silver mask. It’s great.
