Yes, there were 84 pieces. But the image showed two baskets and two pieces of foam. No where in the description did it say how many of which are included, so those images lead me to believe there would be an even number of both. There are not. The 84 pieces came in three bags of 28; each had seven baskets and 21 pieces of foam. I'm fairly certain this is one of those "nothing illegal about it" situations, but I don't have to like it. Every rating of mine starts out with 3 stars for the product and seller to earn more or fewer, and their deceptive practice lost them one star.As for the quality, they are plastic & foam, what more do you want? The baskets fit reasonably well in the Aerogarden Harvest model, but one of them had a completely sealed basket floor. I'm tempted to take away another star for the not quite perfect fit and the one bad basket, but the product doesn't deserve only one star and with no extra effort on my part they are usable as designed. I don't need the ratio they supplied, I need a 1:1 ratio so I'm not as pleased with this purchase as I would have been if they had either given the accurate counts in the description, or given what the picture implied.

The sponges do not soak up moisture above the waterline. You have to shove the sponges way down into the baskets and then they stay soaked -- not just damp, which is required for successful germination. Don't buy.

I bought these so I could plant whatever I wanted in my aero garden. I have an older model and the new aerogarden pods are long and don't fit in 2 of the spaces on mine. I love these. My plants grew really well in them too. They did grow some algae on the sponge but not enough to really make a difference. Id say you can reuse the baskets until you run out of sponges and then should replace them also. I made sure to clean the baskets each time I put new sponges and seeds in also.

Will be using once the seed starting season is over- Aero gard n is in use right now but bought this for more year round use of the AeroGarden.Maybe adding info on weather rotting compound would be recommended/ links to info on starting different types of cuttings.

The baskets somewhat fit in my newer aerogarden, but the water level has to be full. It does not work in my older garden. Will not buy again!

Mine MOLDED just like everyone else. I contacted them and they did NOTHING about it. Really disappointed I wasted my money on this, my seeds, and electricity

Replacements for an old aerogarden. You need to cut one of the basket struts to get the flow going.

DO NOT BUY. Do not fit Aerogargens correctly. Advertising is FALSE. States 56 pods its only 14 and 22 sponges. False.
