We originally bought (from Amazon as well) the TCL 65C6KS-UK on reading the review in What Hi-Fi who rated it their TV of the year for 2025. It's dreadful, and 2 days later it was booked to return for refund and we decided to try the Hisense 65" 65E6QTUK instead, on offer at £94 less than the TCL! See my one star review for the TCL on that product page. The Hisense is excellent value and we are delighted. So much so, I've ordered one more to update other sets in the house and anticipate ordering another again. The picture is so clear. Rendering is smooth, bright, all the streaming apps work brilliantly and every bit as clear as Freeview HD if not more so. The Dolby Audio in to my Yamaha receiver and speakers is a definite step up from our last set. We have also tried the TV speakers and with a couple of moderate settings changes, principally turning off the surround sound and setting the audio for wall mounting (we haven't mounted the set on the wall) the audio is respectable enough given the limitations of the speakers in the set. We didn't have to alter the picture settings at all. We just use standard mode in the day and eco at night (50% brightness). We find that the VIDAA OS works well. Freely was a very very pleasant and welcome surprise. The channel guide seamlessly integrates the Freeview/Freesat Channels with main iPlayer streaming apps. Consequently you get channels that are only broadcast SD on Freesat and Freeview as their streaming HD equivalents accessible from the programme guide and channel number buttons. This can also be paused and rewound for channels that support that too. Very good and convenient. The one slight drawback is that you don't get the numbers of apps that you get with the Amazon Fire OS but this is easily remedied with a £35 4k firestick if that matters to you. However there is the VIDAA OS Channels+ streaming channels to compensate. All the main apps are supported however. I have no hesitation in recommending the set. It's excellent value and excellent for real world day to day viewing. We're delighted.

After reading the reviews on tinny sound I paired this spring sale purchase with a Panasonic soundbar which has given it a whole new quality of sound. The tv was a perfect upgrade and bargain price in the spring sale.it was an easy set up and perfect picture quality.would highly recommended

Wanted a replacement tv for the spare room. OK for the cost, its a great tv, super slim and not heavy (fitted onto a purchased stand). Packed with features and decent quality picture and sound. Does take a while to set all the WiFi functions up and get all my accounts working, but not a deal breaker. Only complaint id have is the standby light is a tad bright at night. Could be dimmer or hidden. Have had many big names TV's over the years with similar functions and this is ideal for the price.

Excellent television with a high quality picture .... However the audio from the TV is not up to scratch. You will need to purchase a soundbar, or like me the hisense 5.1 surround sound set up which works flawlessly.

I'm in my seventies, new tech-nervous, want a TV to watch live and with streaming services, no other plug ins. It's great. Amazon guys had this set up in 10 minutes, power plug in socket, connected to internet, with no antenna or other wires needed. Freely has live TV guide with all the free channels I'm ever likely to want to access. Preloaded apps include all the UK basics and players I want (iplayer, ITV, 4, 5, Netflix, Prime, YouTube. Plus lots of others I"m unlikely to use). It's updated itself without any traumas. Screen display and sound are fine for me, I don't feel the need for a soundbar. I'm finding both the remote control and Freely easy and intuitive to use. (There is a momentary blank screen when you change channels on Freely but I was expecting this thanks to YouTubers reports - which almost put me off the system, I'm very glad they didn't.) It's replaced an LG that only lasted 4 years and cost 3 times as much.

Very light and plasticky TV. But that is not a complaint. Just stating a fact. Clear picture with about half a dozen different picture settings. Slightly on the weak side. Certainly not punchy. For what I paid for it can't expect top dollar. The setup was very easy. The only major downside is the sound. It's quite boxy and tinny. So I bought myself a soundbar and I'm now pleased with the setup that I've got.
