Blocks Out Sunlight Like a Brick Wall!
If you look at the above picture (shows one curtain equipped with one of these black-out curtain-liners installed, and the other curtain without) you’ll see just how effective these liners are.For material this thin, it’s hard to credit just how absolutely they are able to block light.Free, but fairly flimsy, curtain hooks are provided; however, I’d recommend buying your own as, despite being thin, these liners are surprisingly heavy - at least the 90” drop ones I purchased are.The size I ordered just happened to fit perfectly, although I can’t see any reason why someone skilled in the use of a sewing machine couldn’t simply cut, re-size, and then re-hem as necessary - the material’s that thin.Genuinely delighted with these!

These curtains are excellent. A few things they don't tell you
I have written a few reviews but this product takes the biscuit. These curtains are excellent. A few things they don't tell you. They are made of polyester hence the blackout (that is what I wanted them for). The are very lightweight, cream/magnolia in colour and have a quite nice peach skin handle (feel). You get a pair in the pack. The linings are fitted after the original curtains have been gathered - just lay the blackout on top of the original, gather it to just under the width of the original and hook it into the top webbing on the existing curtains (hooks provided). If they are too long, just cut them short with scissors. They do not fray. The, now, blacked out curtains open and close as they did before. You wouldn't know they were there, except when the sun shines and no light comes through. Solved the problem easily and cheaply. Thoroughly recommend.

Be very careful removing Orange Label
Curtains are fine BUT take care when removing the orange warning label. On one of the curtains it was so stuck on that pulling it off was tearing the material so we had to leave it on

The worst stuff I bought on amazon
Well, where should I start... this product is terrible! The person that measured it should go back to primary school since it’s width is just 110 instead of the 117 that is advertised therefore didn’t fit my window properly. The material is rubbish... it had a sticker that when I took it out (carefully) still removed part of the black out material... before you fit it in you must do a knot on the edges of the cord so it gets secured at both ends. What cord? They should probably change that word to tinny little treads put togheter that makes it nearly impossible to do the job. Well, definitely not worth the money, the time I had to wait and the only thing that satisfies me is knowing that I willl probably help someone out not to do the same stupid mistake I did!

Excellent value and quality.
Excellent quality! Ironed to remove packing creases, which was a breeze! Makes such a difference. Easy to attach. At first I attached to heading tape, but I struggled with it a bit, so I just hooked them onto hooks from the main curtain, which possibly you were meant to do anyway! So happy as they block out day light and offers privacy. Very, very happy with purchase. Photo shows with lining and without so you can see how good they are!

They help to keep rooms cool
I live in a flat, the sun is on the pace from early afternoon and all evening, turns the place into a greenhouse, friends of ours use them in Mallorca, so I went on the hunt for some here, found these, they're really good at helping to keep the rooms cool, easy to use, though they sometimes come unhooked if someone pulls on the curtains too hard, but the hooks that come with them are a genius idea, for curtains with tab tops, and they have the usual curtain hooks for if you have curtains with heading tape. They really do help to reflect the heat in the summer.

Definitely Blackout
Bought to line an unlined curtain and hopefully blackout some light for when my granddaughter goes to sleep before dark. I went for an extra wide pair so that if needed they could be gathered to increase darkness.Wow is what I said when I held one up, it turned mid day to night in seconds. I had to cut one curtain in half as it was too wide and I didn’t need to gather as much. They are a bit heavy to hang and adjust when reaching but that’s just because I’m short and changed the hooks I’d used. Good quality material, you can feel the difference between a normal lining and this blackout one.Brilliantly blacked out the room, so much so it startled my daughter when I whizzed them shut 😂😂, she needed a minute to adjust her eyes to the dark. The picture shows one side without the lining and the other side with the lining which you can see at the bottom. The picture was taken at 2pm on a sunny day. My daughter is now going to use the side I didn’t need so a bargain to go with a good blackout curtain liner.

Absolutely perfect!
I have made all the curtains in our house except two pairs in the bedrooms, these ones having been moved from another house. I read all the reviews on here and decided to just go for it and buy two pairs. I was really pleased with the quality when I opened the packets - the orange label problem has been resolved - and the curtains are really well made and neatly hemmed at the bottom and side seams. I love the weight of them - quite light so they are not too bulky and heavy when added to the main curtains. Didn’t think I would be too keen on the silver finish but it’s actually very pale and quite pretty. Not dark grey like some. Although my curtains are lined, the linings are very thin and quite frankly cheap. I wish I had bought these new linings years ago - they have absolutely transformed them. Not only do they black out the sunlight, but they have restored the beautiful deep plum colour which was completely lost with weak sun shining through them. Also, it was only after I had hung the first pair that I read the instructions (!) and found a different way to attach them to the curtains. Instead of gathering and just adding hooks and hanging them on the curtain tape, you use the hook to go though both fabrics and then kind of fold it over to ‘lock’ the lining in place. Brilliant! I thought I knew all there was to know about curtains. Wrong! Anyway, I can’t recommend these highly enough and of course tremendous value for money.
