Exactly what I was looking for! We use these in our kitchen and bedrooms for recycling (and kitchen garbage). My "old" ones are 25 years old and a few tore so I bought the same thing again. Added some cute vinyl images because after 20 years the kids still ask me which side stuff goes in! I line them with bags and just reuse the recycling one until it needs changing. Love these bins

I was keeping my eye out for a trash can that would also work well for when I want to "shoot" my trash like a basketball. Not only were these perfect, but now with four of them around the office, that's four times the fun for "throwing" away my trash. Great value for a set of 4!

A small wastebasket in each room!

Item: Rubbermaid Commercial Plastic 7-gallon trash/waste can Color: black and beige (I have used both over the years) My only complaint is how much the price has increased over the last two decades. The 7-gallon trash can increased from $5.58 in 2015 to $9.29 in 2025. That said, each basket can be had for a very reasonable $6.12 each (at the time of this writing). Note that while this product as listed as a "commercial" product, I use it as a "household" product. I use these waste baskets in virtually every room of the house. I use them with 13-gallon trash bags. When it's time to take the trash out, there's always room in the bag to add trash from another waste basket. Over the years, I have only had two break. I cannot recall the exact causes, but likely placing very heavy items in the trash can and dropping the can, or leaving the can in a cold garage and then squashing the can with a vehicle. These cans will not break under normal use under normal circumstances in a household. I am happy with the size and shape of these cans. They fit well in almost any room of the house, are nearby when you need them (if in every room), and yet do not take up a lot of space within a room. There's no lid, so I do not recommend using this for the disposal of food items (in other words, I do not use this as my kitchen trash can). Overall: would recommend

2025-05-23. Wastebasket by Rubbermaid. Commercial grade. 7-gallon (28-quart). Plastic. Black. Picked up the 4 pack for some big value savings (they're about 35% cheaper than buying just one). Of course the offset is that now you have four instead of just one. These are the 7-gallon size, so they're perfect for the office, den, bedroom, bathroom. These bins came well packaged and there is no assembly required. Just separate them and you're ready to go! They're made of plastic, have no sharp edges, and appear to be good quality. Rubbermaid is a reputable name and their logo was embossed onto each bin. I ordered these for college in the fall. I figured one by my desk and the other in the bathroom. That's when I realized that I would want liners for the bathroom bin. Wasn't sure if they made 7-gallon liners, but lucky for me they do! Just be sure to get some bags that suit the job. If you're going to fill it with heavy stuff, be sure to find something that is at least 0.6 mils (15 microns) thick. Overall, I don't really have any complaints about the bin itself. It's a wastepaper basket, so there isn't much to expect. It's not much in the looks department, but it gets the job done.
