This is for use of it for ICING lower back pain: first of all the review who said the model wearing it wrong bse it's not to be used on the skin is wrong. The thick mesh is plenty protection for it not to burn your skin - use on skin if you want a "ice pack" it's still not cold enough for me UNLESS you put both ice badders that it comes w into the mesh pocket - doing that that = more pressure on your back = colder. It has plenty of elastic stretch to fit my 46" waist & then some. I like my ice packs very cold hence the word "Ice" Pack- it seems lots of reviewers are satisfied with a "cold" pack: - wearing it walking around? -yes but it slips down so I used my generic back brace to hold it in place. Perfect! Do these modifications & you'll get the icepack you are looking for. This "put in freezer for 30 min then stays cold for 2 hrs" is ridiculous- they must be getting comped. I've several icepacks & all need to be in freezer for 2.5 hrs to maintain a 30 min ice-like cold. I hope I answered some questions.

I love the cold pack. It doesn't leak and it's convenient and easy to grab when it need it. I sometimes need to apply the ice pack around the clock mainly for my frozen shoulder. My daughter used the heat pack and loved it. She felt so much better afterwards. I saw her apply it a few times. She said it was easy to use. We love the product.

I’m so glad we found this. I searched for ice bag carrier and found this. I am very happy with them. It has 2 ice packs so you can use one and freeze the other. The design of the carrier is great. One side (away from skin) has a Velcro friendly polyester fabric but the side nearest to the skin is a nylon mesh. Add a strap to help keep it in place - genius! So glad I found the right search terms!! Great after knee surgery! A++ for utility and design

These are of such high quality I was so happy I got them. Sadly stupid TSA confiscated them from my carry on because when I got to the airport they weren’t frozen (there’s a tip there - frozen they’ll fly). So I ordered another one. Now I have 2 ice packs and 2 belts just in case. Really love it. Considering a third purchase just to have a backup. In this ephemeral world when you find things you love, buy multiple!

Works as described very useful to have the straps so you can use it just about anywhere on the body . Would recommend use it on my shoulder and back and stays in place.

Many uses for item. Easy to use and lightweight. Only tried the chilled option so far. Nice that heat is another option. The extra bag and strap are handy regardless of the negative comments from the trolls.Couldn't find the strap length anywhere in the description. Asked the question and got all kind of crazy misinformation. Don't know why the company doesn't list this very important information. Extra strap length is 21.5" and the strap attached to the bag is 14"

The straps make this my favorite ice pack for any area of the body. Its so versatile and easy to modify. They do get warm faster than the nexcare gel but they are also meant to retain heat unlike the afformentioned gel pack. So multi purpose and having two packs makes up for them melting after a few hours. I am super happy i bought this.

The ice pack was easy to put inside the pouch and use. I was able to wrap the pouch around my wrist. I had carpal tunnel release surgery and had to ice my wrist for 20 minutes four times a day. This product worked good and was easy to use. I have not tried putting the ice pack in the microwave.
