Pretty good guitar, especially for the price!
Overall a decent guitar for the price! If you're looking for a professional, high quality guitar, you need to raise your price range. Everything was perfectly fine when I opened it up! Nothing was broken, the paint wasn't chipped, it wasn't opened, etc. The paint finish is excellent. There have been a few times where I've bumped it on things and the paint probably should have come off, but the paint still looks good as new! I've been playing mine for about 6 months on a regular basis and haven't had any trouble with it. It's not the kind of guitar you pick up and think, "Wow, this is a super durable guitar!", but as long as you don't do anything ridiculous with it, you shouldn't have to replace any parts or have any trouble with it falling apart. The strings aren't great though, so I would recommend replacing them. I have no idea what the reviewer who said that it was not able to be tuned was saying. You can't buy a guitar and expect it to be tuned out of the box. Guitars strings must be loosened when they travel by air, because the air pressure will cause them to break. It took me about five minutes to tune it. It has a pretty good sound, but it's not the kind of guitar that you would perform with; it's mainly the kind of guitar that you play in your room, or at a campfire with your friends. It's great for beginner to intermediate level players, but I would expect an adept player to be a bit disappointed. Overall, I don't regret it for a second, and would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Fantastic Guitar
I have never really been satified with a dreadnought guitar. I usually play a small folk guitar or an electric. But it was on sale so I thought, "What the heck" and grabbed one. I have a Main Street electric guitar and really like it, so I shouldn't have been surprsied to fine the Main Street dreadnought is the finest I have ever played. Sounds like an exaggeration, with names like Martin and Gibson out there. Maybe it's because I play finger-style and so I need a guitar with really low action. Whatever the reason, this guitar is perfect for my playing style. Low action, no set-up needed at all, and very resonant. Most dreadnoughts strike me as a little muddy or muted sounding, but not this one. I really bought it as a lark, but now I would recommend Main Street guitars to anyone.

Five Stars
My husband now thinks of me as the coolest wife ever for getting him this guitar. I was shocked at how fast it was delivered. The packaging was sturdy and it arrived in perfect condition (and has continued to stay that way). It is such a lovely guitar. I am sure anyone who loves Texas items will be very happy with it. My husband fancies himself as a great guitarist, but actually only plays a couple of songs every two months, or so. So we really got this for the decorative value, but he really likes the guitar for playing as well. He has another plain looking guitar that he no longer touches. I am not sure how well it would do using it everyday, but there is no indication that it is of any lesser quality that a standard guitar. I highly recommend this guitar. Thank you so much!!!

Best $50 dollar guitar anywhere.
Cheapest guitar I have ever bought. But damn it looks cool and actually sounds pretty darn good to. For $50 bucks I got to be a wall hanger but it will be taken down and played too.

Returned this product because it was not an instrument one could tune, strictly decorative item.
