So far so good...
Bought this for my wife, to help her get the feel of having a "proper grip".The first problem I ran into was that the grips on her new Wilson golf clubs are too small (diameter or thickness). It seems to fit very well on my clubs. I have installed the grip on one of my gap wedges that I don't use. I think this will be usable for her to practice with and then switch to her clubs and attempt to take a good grip without the aid of the GripIT Rite.As for the fit, upon closer inspection, I feel that her clubs have very small grips. I definitely ordered the ladies version of this, so unless I received the wrong product, I am guessing it will fit most ladies clubs - I have no others to check it on.A few comments on the way you install the device: You have to sight the clubface through a plastic window that flips up and away from the shaft. The window has markings to assist with the alignment. While there are probably multiple methods that could have been used for this, I think this method works okay. My advice is to have good lighting from behind or above to see the grooves on the clubface clearly as you peer through the alignment window. You also need to take care when finally pushing it onto the grip that it doesn't move, which it will have a tendency to do. It is a bit more difficult to align once installed on the grip, but you can make small adjustments without too much difficulty.Bottom line - I think this is a very useful aid to help learn the proper grip. Because it can be used on any club, it is even more valuable. In the relatively few swings I have tried with it, it does seem to promote a good setup and even a smooth release of the club during the downswing.

Wouldnāt fit on my grips
I have factory Callaway grips and this tool would not fit on them. I put it on an old club and swung a bit with it on and was hitting pretty well. Could be good for pre-round to get some muscle memory going in your hands.

Probably a good concept, butā¦..
Purchased this to reinforce my golf grip to make sure I was holding club correctly. Problem I had was snapping it on the club after aligning it perfectly. Snapping grip into play would cause product to be off center. After several tries, I returned the item. Too difficult to install.

A must have..I will buy more.
I'm a 24 HCP golfer and been playing for about two years. I hit it quite long with plenty of slice and hook. I'm a little like Bubba who tries to learn this naturally by looking at my own swing, really understanding the theory and watching pros. I'm also trying different aids to perform the swing properly. Watch the pro's and you'll see there are different ways to swing but some fundamentals do not change. Don't bend the elbow, have a steady stance (i.e rotate don't sway), the club must come inside out, hip should move first in the down swing etc. Rest is all different (check Furryk's ve Rorry).I always had problem with the grip. I have been experimenting with a lot of different grip types and always had issue. I've used this tool both for driver and 7 iron yesterday. Boy it's done wonders to my swing.First of all, it really loosened my grip and took my mind of wrist rotation. My swing immediately felt much more relax and ball flight was much more straight. It feels a little awkward at first. It forces to use position your leading arm quite strong (or at lest that was my feeling) but the result is a straighter flight. I have not used other pre-formed grips (also hard for me to try on the go since I'm a lefty) but this is a definite go for me. Now I will order couple of more and I will put them on driver and seven iron and leave on for one of the wedges.Strongly recommended.

Inexpensive and affective
Being lefthanded this was the only brand I could find that offered this. I took the chance and so far so good fitting and lining it up...also don't worry about other reviews, yes it is made for standard grips but DOES fit on my mid-size grips just fine.

More natural feel grip trainer
I have only had mine for a day, but had been borrowing a freind's. After @ a week of practice swinging, I took it for a ride and it did help straighten out my shots (noticeably) due to a now consistent grip. Now I bought my own. It may take a bit of monkeying around to get it on your club for the first time, but after you are all lined up it is worth the struggle (the tight fit, I could safely assume, is to eliminate slipping while swinging). This item differs greatly from other grip trainers, in that it is not too "oversized". The bulky rubber ones have molded finger grooves & large Vs where your fingers should go, whereas this has a small fin & exposed upper-hand thumb spot, as well as an open backside. This feels more natural (you are making contact with your actual grip), and after a few swings you can really start to feel how wrong your grip was before. The fact that you can rotate it to fit your grip style (strong/neutral/weak) really is a bonus.

This is a Jr. Golf grip
I received a jr. golf grip instead of the one pictured. (Mine is green instead of grey) but luckily I was buying it for my 10 year old son, so the golf instructor said it would still work fine. It was probably best that I ended up with this one, but didn't mean to order it that way. This is a perfect grip that you can line up correctly with the angles on the grip so that the kid learning as the ability to be successful from the start. My son loves it.

Much better when told how to use it
I first put this down as one star but somebody showed me how to use it and it does train you to grip the club correctly. Very simple but very effective. Sorry for the first bad review but better instructions would have prevented this!

Great for beginner but a bit pricey.
This item is great for teaching beginner. Once they use this they realize just how wrong there club grip is. The only set back is the expensive price tag for a bit of plastic but apart from that it's great. Make sure once you've fitted it it's correctly lined up otherwise it will make your game even worse.

The golfing Howitzer
Spent a fortune on new custom Ping G20 clubs and driver 2 years ago - took a while to get to grips (ahem) with them but impressive once played enough. I play off 24. My driver was always good but just couldnt keep consistency. A mate gave me some tips on the course why I was hooking the ball so much and mentioned the V grip coming diagonally across right collar bone etc - made sense and rest of game was a revelation. At the end he mentioned this product to me and suggested it as a good way to keep a grip permanently on a club. Never been keen to spend a fortune having my swing dismantled by a pro, so i tried this. I am not a gimmick man but I figured if it did the job for this sort of money, it would solve one of the biggest faults/frustrations of my game.I played yesterday with my father outside Guildford and brought out the driver, playing with this grip for the first time which was naturally frowned on by the old boy as as a poor alternative to a proper session with a pro. However on the first tee neither he or I could believe it. Straight, true, huge, lovely shape. Hit the ball 232yards and I just stroked the thing on one hole. And it kept throughout my game. It was his term, "the golfing howitzer". I'm getting one for my woods and rescue club. Fitting was a doddle. Did as it said. No idea if illegal but its given me confidence and surety to what was a somewhat lottery shot on every drive.

amazing
i absolutely love this. i have always had problems with my grip, i have seen a million clips on youtube about correcting it but never really felt right. this little thing corrected my problem INSTANTLY. looks like a dodgy gimic, i'll amdit. but goes on so easily, and you can feel the difference the second you start hitting balls.definitely beats the leadbetter golf grip, which you actually have to permanently fix onto a club.... at a costwould also recomment a slkz smart golf glove. this helped with my wrist issues... keeping it straight, but may not be for everyone
