This lock is fabulous! I love that I can go for a run and not have to bring my keys. It senses my phone and the door is unlocked as I walk up. It’s easy to set up codes and much better than the Schlage it replaced.

Installation was a breeze. The setup process within the app was also simple with one exception. I have three people that will be using this and on registering the fingerprints, we noticed that one user's fingerprint registered with no issues and unlocked the door with no issues. Myself and the other user could not get the lock to unlock with the fingerprint. When re-enrolling, we pressed more firmly with the center of the finger and it registered both of us without a problem. The takeaway is that if you treat this like Apple's TouchID you're going to have a bad time. It's a firm press and hold and the lock unlocks every time. All 3 of us are able to use the fingerprint with almost 100% success...which is way better than using a key. I read a lot of the reviews and saw that people were having issues so I figured I'd mention the firm press requirement. Also, I was prompted with a firmware update when adding the lock so that may have something to do with it. For the price this is a great investment, especially considering that I didn't have to replace or install a new lock. We had the old keypad and it was awful....we put that one on the back porch for emergencies.

Funcionó perfecto, me encanto. Aún cuando la aplicación para configurar el teclado y la cerradura ahora solo funcionan para Estados Unido y Canada se puede resolver fácilmente utilizando un VPN. Durante la cofiguración tuve un poco de problemas con el registro de la huella digital pero lo resolví dando de baja la cerradura y el teclado en la aplicación, borrando la aplicación y reinstalandola y configurando tode de nuevo. Es importante tener en cuenta que para configurar la aplicación es necesatio conectarse a la red WiFi de 2.4 Ghz (si esta conectado a la red WiFi de 5 Hhz no funciona la App) y tener activo el VPN conectado a un sitio de Estados Unidos o Canada. Yo ya tenía una cuenta registrada en August, en caso de que no cuenten con una cuenta registrada para el proceso de registro tendrán que tener un eSim con número en Estados Unidos o Canada para poder concluir el registro. Es muy fácil conseguir el VPN y el eSIM.

Si tienen August lock no lo compren, no hay soporte en Mexico. Además no esta claro qué app se usa para intalar. En la caja vienen instrucciones que piden bajar una app que en Mexico no está disponible
