Inexpensive but if you bass fish it doesn’t have to many articles

This was first time I ordered magazine via Amazon. I was surprised the subscription activated faster than expected. However I didn't like that the subscription sent an August/September issue in November. It appeared that they were dumping an old issue on a new subscriber. The magazine is only published every other month (2 month issues) so by doubling up on the first mailing they burned up 4 months of articles at once. This is not cool!

Really more like 3.5 stars. Hadn't held this magazine in my hands in a few years. Noticeably lighter (fewer pages) compared to what I remember. A lot of ads. Articles still focus too much on pricey gear, in my estimation, but I like the magazine for the introduction to new tackle and accessories. They also continue to have one of the most visually impressive layouts -- including photography -- of any magazine covering freshwater fishing.

THE ultimate freshwater multi species magazine/tv show. All the best experts traveling North America to bring the best advice and new gear to the forefront. I have used and trusted this publication for decades and am a better fisherman because of it. At this price, you can’t go wrong to have this delivered to your mailbox.

Unfortunately, this magazine is primarily a vanity piece for its editors. It would be more honest to call them staff writers since the bulk of the articles are written by them, and the magazine apparently is a source of funding for their fishing trips, particularly since so many articles are touting the views of commercial fishing guides. I especially dislike the fact that it is impossible to contact them with concerns, complaints, or any sort of feedback since they do not have an email address or any other reasonable means of “Contact Us” as does virtually every other publication in existence. I have even sent letters to them at their street address with reasonably stated concerns about the validity of so called studies they have published only to be ignored in spite of the request to at least acknowledge the receipt of my letters, which tells me that they do not care what readers think so long as they get enough subscriptions to continue to fund their ventures. My concerns relate to the infomercial nature of much of their writings, the implausibility of many of their claims, the amount of commercial exposure they allocate to column space, and the fact that they rarely source outside fishing experts as do other angling publications.

I've subscribed to In fisherman for many years. Best freshwater fishing magazine. Being in California, I also get to read about walleye fishing, which is banned in CA, which is a reminder of my midwestern home.

This IS IN-FISHERMAN !!! This is the mag that knows what they are talking about.

If you fish, you need to feed yourself with monthly buys of knowledge from InFisherman. One of my favorite magazines.
