The Captain is the most versatile board in the Alone Surfboards range and is a balance of traditional and modern performance in a hybrid shape. It is often referred to as that elusive one board quiver that we all look for.The Captain comes with a relaxed rocker & just a little lift in the nose to help when taking off late or turning into steeper sections of a wave. The flat rocker under the chest design allows for a bigger planing surface which increases floatation and paddle speed. Increased stability meaning you can size this board slightly shorter than a traditional shortboard without sacrificing wave count.It has plenty of volume around the chest & middle of the board, to give good hold and speed in the face of the wave. The concave runs from a rolled vee in the entry, to a slight single blending into a vee double out the tail, giving the board speed and control in rail to rail transitions. The wide template in the nose will ensure plenty of speed & the rounded pin tail and low exit rocker will have you turning in the pocket allowing you to beat sections you would normally think unmakeable.
