Mobile Suit Gundam 00: A Wakening Of The Trailblazer

I would like to first off note that Gundam 00 isn't just a recycled Gundam concept idea as some would have you believe, but it is an idea of just how mankind should learn to get along with itself. The story is amazing, the characters are probably the best in this franchise, and the animation is superb. I even liked the way it was packaged. This Gundam timeline has a lot of messages that have to do with humankind finding a way to come together, and I like that about this Gundam timeline. Even the fact that this timeline is set in the A.D. era just adds to the shows appeal. Even if you don't like Gundam, I think you should at least watch it to see what I am talking about. Having both a DVD and a Blu-Ray version of the movie is great, so if you do have just a DVD player, it won't be an inconvenience to have both in case you do plan to get a PS3 or Blu-Ray player. The DVD version of the movie just has the bare minimum stuff like audio setup, scene select, and two extras (which are trailers and DVD credits). But the Blu-Ray version has so much more than the DVD version like special announcement videos, theatrical trailers, and more. I recommend buying this version so you'll have the best of both worlds.

I purchased this for my husband who is deployed. He mentioned that he watched it, but honestly I was not paying attention at all when he gave his critique. I do not have the same appreciation for anime that he does, so I am going to go ahead and give this five stars because he hasn't really complained all that much about this so it has to have been good, I guess? Seriously... do not judge me because I know for a fact that when I start talking to him about decorating our house, choosing clothing, or asking his opinion about plants for the yard he completely tunes me out. That's totally fine though because he knows I am going to pick out what I want anyway... He has his anime and I can have other stuff. This has definitely not helped anyone choose anime at all but, alas, I am the only one here to judge the anime and not the son of a bitch who decided to join the military and be a "bad-ass". Anyone out there who is a member of the military will understand that this is a fine purchase. Good RUCK!

I grew up watching the original Gundam TV series. Couple of decades later my son hooked into Gundam 00. The TV series was awesome and the movie didn't disappoint us at all. Good story didn't fade. Great ending. There are couple of touchy moments. You are ok to cry ;)

If you watched and enjoyed both seasons of the TV series, do yourself a favor and watch this movie. It wraps up the story very well and has awesome animation quality to go along with it. You get two full hours of beautifully animated battle scenes, great character interactions, drama, and intrigue. Normally, you would think a movie this long would get boring and/or would be hard to watch. This is not the case at all. From beginning to end, this amazing movie keeps you entertained and wanting to find out what is going to happen next. Plus, the ending is a good one that wraps all the loose ends up and is very satisfying. Highly recommended.

This movie is actually very nice, but there are many people here saying unfounded things about it. First of all, it's not too short. How many anime movies do you know of that last more than two hours? How many of those are as action packed as this one? Secondly, there are reviewers who say that it lacks a central villain? What? No seriously, what? The fate of the human race is at stake by the end of the movie and you're telling me there's no villain? Do you really need an ELS with a face, a name and a twirly moustache to pin all the blame on him? Come on guys. However, two very valid complaints about the movie is that, yes, there is a lack of melee combat, but it's justified, and the 00 QAN[T] does unfortunately feel like a cameo.But anyway, the movie is pretty solid and you will enjoy it if you loved 00 and its characters. It's a pleasure seeing them again one more time and kicking alien ass. The animation is great, the battles are awesome and the mobile suits are fantastic, better than the Endless Waltz customized suits. The ending is okay, but generally the movie is a fun ride.

Are u kidding me !! This is the BEST movie EVER , It's a MUST see , it is the BEST. It's literally & theatrically a culmination of all 50 episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 & what Celestial Being was trying to accomplish .. PEACE. And for the GREATEST warrior & peace advocate , EXIA & SETSUNA to sit down and just .. Well I shouldn't spoil the ending .. But anyways that should be some incentive to WATCH this movie !!! GET it NOW !! (if u haven't already). PEACE !!

I love gundam 00 movies. The plot if the story was interesting when I saw it online & I was going to buy the DVD version, but then when I saw that amazon has the bluray on sale, then I figure I buy the bluray instead since I got the bluray player. Overall experience on the bluray disc of gundam 00: excellent compare to what I've seen online. The graphic was perfect for the display I had ( yes I got the 24" 3D display from Sony ). Highly recommended.

One of the best ( of the few ) gundam movies I’ve ever seen

No se que tan necesaria era esta película después del final que nos ofreció la segunda temporada, sin embargo creo que al final sigue siendo un añadido más que satisfactorio para esta continuidad.

他の北米版と同様、ps4では音声を日本語にしても字幕を消して視聴することができました。他の機器では確認はできておりません。当然ながらBlu-rayだけあって画質も良いです。最後の戦闘シーンは描写が激しいためDVD版では何となくごちゃごちゃしていましたが、Blu-ray版では画質が良い分見やすくなっている印象を受けました。元々好きなシリーズで、この映画も大好きだったので感動です。

A very fitting ending to Gundam 00 series. Every aspect of this movie is so intertwined with each other, that i felt that nothing needs to be added or removed from it. Even the OP and ED enrich the story. My only complaint is, this movie is TOO short for such a great story. Sunrise could have made this into a mini-series, as there are so many important details left unsaid (e.g. Setsuna's experiences during his voyage to ELS's home planet) which could be further developed.

Awakening of Trailblazer is set two years after the end of season 2. In it a ship believed to have long vanished is shown to be heading directly towards Earth but it is destroyed by the government forces.However later several machines are shown to be acting on their own and later several people are attacked.I like this movie because it actually gives you a decent ending to the series instead of just leaving you guessing what happened after season 2.Although it does kill off two of the characters that have been in the series; one of which has been in the series since the beginning. Also only Sestuna and Teiria are the only Gundam Meisters shown in the epilogue.All in all, I recomend the film to anybody who watched the series.
