英語の授業の教材として使っています。ストーリーが奇想天外で面白い。

最強ヒーローの活躍が爽快で面白いです。 絵もストーリーも引き込まれるため、英語でも割と簡単に読み進められます。 残念ポイントにも記載しましたが、若干読みづらいと感じる部分があるので、マイナス1しています。 ■オススメ ポイント ・1つ1つのセリフが簡潔で短く、コマも大きめなのでテンポよく読み進められる ・日本語版がWebで無料公開されているため、読み比べが簡単にできる ■残念ポイント ・ドゴッ！ みたいな擬音が、英語版だと文字数が増え、フォントサイズも大きくなっており、全体的に邪魔 ・(英語圏の人なら気にならないかもしれないが) 一部セリフのフォントが読みづらい。 (この読みづらいフォントはほんの僅かしかないので、ほとんど困らないが)

Z市に住む失業中の青年・サイタマは、ある日怪人に襲われていた子供を助けたことをきっかけに、ヒーローとなるため厳しい修行（主観的に）を開始、全ての頭髪を失う代わりに無敵の力を得た。だが、どんな強敵もワンパンチで消し飛んでしまう戦いは味気なく空しい。ゴーストタウンにある1Kの部屋でスーパーの特売日を気にかけ、押しかけ弟子であるジェノスの熱血ぶりに辟易しながら、今日も趣味のヒーロー活動を続けるサイタマの未来は…? とかくアクションに注目が集まりがちだが、本質的にはシュールな不条理ギャグやパロディが持ち味の作品だろう（怪人が街を破壊している最中にスーパーが呑気に特売をやっているのか、などと気にしては本作品は読めない）。よく考えるととんでもない数の人死にが出ていたり、ヒーローたちの俗物ぶりや足の引っ張り合い、腐敗した正義の組織、人気者は軽薄にもて囃す一方で叩きやすそうな相手には集団で罵声を浴びせて大喜びする一般大衆など、かなりダークでシニカルな内容も含まれており、見た目以上に底の深さを感じる。 アニメ化されたとはいえ、この段階での英訳版の出版（2015年春とある）はずいぶん早いようにも思う。ただ、誤訳も少なく、擬音語や擬態語も日本語表記の丸写しではなくニュアンスを残しながら英語式の表現をうまく使っているなど、全体的に丁寧に作られている印象だった。あとは、よくある物語途中での英語版の刊行停止なしに、物語の最後まで訳してもらいたいものである。 そのためにも本作品には、ジャンプ系漫画の宿痾である「強さのインフレ」や安直な友情物語、アクションで水増ししての引き延ばしに陥らず、最後までシュールでシニカルな内容のままでいてほしいと思うのである。

Good book original product good manga but nothing close to vagabond

Murata's artistry elevates the series, making every punch and explosion a spectacle to behold. The action sequences are dynamic and exciting. Volume 1 delivers exhilarating battles that showcase the creative and visually stunning combat style of 'One-Punch Man.' The choreography and pacing of the fights add an extra layer of excitement to the narrative. The introduction of the Hero Association adds depth to the story. Volume 1 sets the stage for the hero ranking system and the challenges faced by heroes in a world filled with monsters and villains. It adds an intriguing layer to the superhero narrative. Character depth and development are hinted at. While Saitama's overwhelming strength is a constant, Volume 1 provides glimpses into his character and the potential for growth. The series promises more than just action, offering layers of depth to the characters. 'One-Punch Man, Vol. 1' is a knockout introduction to a series that defies expectations. It's funny, action-packed, and visually stunning, making it a must-read for manga enthusiasts. Five stars – because the punchline is just the beginning of this extraordinary superhero journey! 🌟💥📖
