Review
I bought these pants mainly for a vacation to Iceland. I did try them a few times during the winter in Virginia, but the real test was in Iceland. They worked great! it was pretty cold, rainy and super windy everyday, but the pants kept me warm and dry. I do not like the belt it comes with, but you don't have to use it, you can use your own in needed. Pants have zipper pockets which was also nice to have for my trip.

Initial impressions are great!
Going to ski tomorrow, but trying these pants on, they feel great. Not too baggy. They fit well, just like any other pair of normal pants. But with just enough room to wear sweat pants to layer up. They slide right over the ski boots. And look great. They are on the thin side so they might not be very warm, but as long as I can still layer up, it's all good.Only suggestion I would have is maybe something to tighten on the bottom to mitigate any chance of snow going up my pant legs. But with how snug it is against the boot, that probably won't be an issue. While water will bead up, they're not completely water resistant. I poured water on them to test this out. The water mostly sheds off, but the material does hold a little moisture. But I think it's a good compromise between completely water proof and still breathable. Can't wait to try them out on the slopes.Edit: Just went skiing and these pants were great. After a few falls, they felt damp, but I don't think it ever soaked through. They were thin, but in combination with the athletic leggings I was also wearing, they were plenty warm at 12-26 degrees fahrenheit during the day. If it was below zero, you might have to start layering up underneath.

High quality and durable
Nice pants, very high quality material. Only negative is they fade, my black pants are now brown.

Love these pants. Comfy and warm without getting a feeling of being hot.
These pants are fantastic for winter. Whether its cool weather or cold - my body temperature stayed nice and even. Not to hot , not to cold, just right. Unfortunately I managed to get some paint on my beige ones but will order a replacement next winter. Still have the black ones on standby. Highly recommend to others. Super comfy and stretch feeling.

Like sweatpants or pajamas with zippered pockets
These came in a paper shipping bag and inside were packed in a vacuum sealed plastic bag. I feel the packaging was adequate for the item although upon receiving the package I really wondered what the heck, it was stuff and small... anyway...Open the package and the item at first blush looked ok. I did not thoroughly inspect the stitching and everything but instead forced myself into them over a pair of pants I was wearing. Mission accomplished.I am 5'7" and weigh as of today 188 pounds (yes I am fat but love ice cream), in any event, my impression of these "Toomett Men's hiking Snow Pants Skiing Winter Insulated Fleece lined Outdoor Water Repellent camping, walking, fishing" is that they are similar to sweatpants or pajamas with pockets with zippers. The outer shell seems ok, the pockets are just nylon and I do not expect they will hold up to much use or carrying heave items on a regular basis. I don't know about water resistance or wind resistance as I haven't used them under these conditions as yet. What I can say is that I am sitting here in my garage with an electric heater in front of me in 43 degree temperature and wearing these as i have said, over another pair of pants and I feel a chill on my left leg where the cold air is entering the garage.I bought these because I will be going to Santa Fe, New Mexico this month and I honestly hate the cold. These may help but I think will still require thermal underwear / long Johns to be of much use.So, in summary, these are just "blah" whatever. $40 bucks for a day or two use but I don't think I would buy another pair... hopefully next December I am in Cancun, Mexico instead of the cold... dang kids passport expired or I wouldn't even be writing this review.

I really like these pants.
VERY comfy. I've wanted to wear them all the time except do have indoor/outdoor clothes.Zippers are important; buttons would make more sense in some ways but, yeah, I get they tend to be more flawed. There is NO velcro, thankfully.I got a size up (42) but 40 would have worked. One change would make is for the side leg pockets to go the other way, so the zipper is fore and pocket itself is aft, but no big shakes. Also, one smol zipper pocket lower for hiding money, etc.Demographics:- age 60+- active, hike weekends and ruck other days- SW PA
