Firstly, I encountered many frustrating obstacles off the get go. I was close to smashing everything until I switched out the stock Ethernet cable with a higher end type from my Nintendo switch. Worked like a charm after that! Everything is easy and straight forward to setup and sync. This brand is more costly than several competitors, but having better solar panels and an expandable HD option are worth the extra $$. I got the 2 solar cam + base station on sale for a great price. Had to buy a hard drive as the included 16gb is a bit of a joke!! Got the cameras synced and mounted zero issues. Before this I tried a cheaper brand which was a similar bundle and the base station and cameras had antenna on them. I found the signal was stronger and stream was more timely and responsive when viewing live. Another feature this company here has is the weatherproofing. Most others only work down to -10C whereas these cams work at -20celcius. Being in Canada, winter proof is a must. Im going to assess the solar panel effectiveness over time as weee transitioning into autumn soon I want to see if this 2 hours of sun a day is a true claim! Be nice to have a monitor where you can see all your cameras at once, like some competitor brands offer. But I guess to view live, all the time, the battery might diminish faster than the panel can recharge it. I guess you extend the battery by having it in motion detection which is fine I suppose since you get notified to your phone. The app has a million features and is a social network in its own right. Need to learn it thoroughly. Overall I’m satisfied and don’t mind having spent the extra money for weatherproofing, a relatively compact camera with internal solar camera, and faster charging solar panels. The items all feel quality and were boxed nicely. As mentioned, they should include an upgraded Ethernet cable! And how about 2 USB-C cords, since there’s 2 camera in the bundle and 2 charging ports on the base station. Oh, and the picture is clear but like I mention the cheaper competition brand I tried had a faster live stream. I have a delay of like 5-10 seconds here which is annoying if I’m viewing a live event and a crime is occurring. Seconds count. Hopefully a firmware update some day will resolve this

After six months of using this surveillance system, I can confidently share my experience, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. My initial motivation for an upgrade stemmed from the outdated, cumbersome head end of my old hardwired camera system under the front porch. The struggle was real, especially with the lack of support for newer Windows OS. My expectations for the porch camera were initially low due to its lack of direct sunlight. To my surprise, the built-in solar panel proved to be a game-changer, keeping the camera consistently charged with ambient sunlight. Despite the limited sunlight, it only triggers 1 to 2 alerts a week, showcasing impressive efficiency. Contrastingly, the garage camera, basking in direct sunlight, handles 10 to 20 alerts daily. Even as fall reduces daylight, it maintains a solid 70% charge. Considering my home's 12-inch thick insulated concrete walls, the impeccable signal strength from the home unit inside the kitchen pantry is noteworthy. The garage camera, facing 2 interior walls, 1 exterior wall, and the garage door, experiences no signal issues. The AI recognition feature is commendable, excelling at detecting individuals from various angles, not just head-on views. Night vision performs well, falling between good and spectacular, with room for improvement in IR light coverage. While the camera's IR lights are effective within a close range, additional IR repeaters can enhance night vision for broader coverage. The daytime picture quality is truly spectacular, and the well-crafted app enhances the overall user experience. Setup is a breeze, and the app's speed, even on mobile networks, is praiseworthy. Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted, a handy feature for my garage camera dealing with wind-induced false alerts. The ability to draw a detection zone is a great feature, although adjusting points on the phone's outer edges can be cumbersome. A PC interaction option would be beneficial for certain tasks, as some actions are more convenient with a mouse. A notable feature request would be a scheduler to define "do not disturb" periods, especially during high-traffic times when unnecessary alerts are a hindrance. Lastly, the camera mounts require a firm tightening to prevent movement over time. Despite this, I highly recommend this system and plan on purchasing more units.
