I had never heard of this product , until I saw someone using it in a recipe. So I decided to try it. It is now one of my favorites. I just bought my second bottle.. It has a shorter shelf life. I think the one I just bought has 9 months, but I will finish it way before the expiration date. It has a smooth creamy taste. Below is a better description: "Kewpie mayonnaise is famously made using only egg yolks, not whole eggs like most American mayonnaise, which gives it a richer, deeper color, smoother texture, and distinct umami flavor, along with rice or apple cider vinegar for tang and dashi for that signature taste." My only problem would be the container. It doesn't pop back. I have read that is by design though. It stops air from getting in and spoiling it.. It doesn't affect the taste So it still gets 5 stars from me. If you like mayonnaise. This is definitely a must try.

If you’ve only had regular American mayo, this is a completely different product. Rich, slightly sweet, and way more umami. It actually tastes like something instead of just fat. I use this on sandwiches, burgers, ramen, even mixed into sauces. It levels everything up without trying too hard. Texture is smoother and more spreadable than standard mayo too. Only downside is once you get used to it, the regular stuff tastes bland. If you cook at all or care about flavor, this is worth having in your fridge.

Perfect for making tuna salad or mixing with tuna/salmon to make sushi rice wraps! Good value for price!

Very tasty. It's lighter and smoother than Hellman’s and Dukes. There's a slight mustard taste at the end. The Japanese recipe main ingredients seem to be healthier than the American version except for using the MSG. I know MSG is a preservative of some sort, America does not have MSG as an ingredient. But which ingredient is worse MSG or what nasty preservative America thinks is ok for us to consume. The container itself comes in a very soft and flexible plastic or rubber bottle with an imprint of the kewpie on one side. The bottle sturdy, soft and flexible. It's easy to to use, plus you can see through the bottle enough to know how low it's getting, so you can prepare for your next order! The cap on the bottle has two functions, one is to squeezeout the mayo as usual. However, the other part of the cap creates a cute detail like for designing icing or using the empty bottle to use for deviled eye giving them a more decorative egg mixture. Or even use the empty bottle for cake icing. The Japaneseare very resourceful and Ican imagine they hope the container is used in multiple ways. I hope you enjoy it!

My family LOVES this Kewpie mayo! I have bought this at the store numerous times but didn't have a way there this last time and honestly, I ordered 2 just to have an extra on hand. It was actually cheaper than the store and I will definitely be reordering again soon, since I just opened my reserve bottle. There is no product separation, shelf life is perfect and it tastes so much better than regular mayo. If we don't use kewpie, we use Duke's, so I regularly have both on hand. You will not be disappointed if you order this Japanese mayo. It is my families favorite and we don't go without it ever!
