Men's Lightweight Waterproof Hooded Rain Jacket Outdoor Raincoat Shell Jacket for Hiking Travel Review: Ok but not great - I bought this as a shell to cover warmer garments so needed something a little oversize and it fits nicely with thermal layers, including a fleece, underneath. The construction itself is quite flimsy but this does make it light. The annoyance comes in with the flaps on the hood which slap you in the face relentlessly even in light winds making it necessary to pull them together using the velcro on the flap. The main disappointment though was the waterproofing; it managed to fend off light rain but on my second outing with this coat I got caught in heavy rain in moderate winds (gusting to 50mph) and I ended up, if not wet, then definitely damp on the shoulders. Review: Im going to be trekking in nepal and this shell layer is perfect. Its wide enough and the sleeves fit multiple chunky layers comfortably. I love the elastic and velcro cuffs to fasten everything down and keep the wind out, repels water great and the mesh lining inside is surprisingly warm

Very nice jacket that does what it’s supposed to do. Breaths well and nicely wind and rain resistant. I wear a hoodie underneath and large is still huge though. Much bigger than a normal large.

I bought this just in time for spring weather in Wisconsin. I’m a 6’1” female and love the length of this coat as well as the sleeve length. I like how lightweight it is...the color I chose, the fact it’s keeping me dry, the zippered pockets, the velcro placement. Heck...I like the whole jacket including the price tag and am considering buying another one in red.
