How do you use the wire-wool? I'd be scared it would take off the old polish or damage the surface. I have a Georgian oak table and love the build-up

TBH I haven't used the wire wool yet, but assume that where there is a severe discontinuity (e.g. dent) between undamaged and damaged surface areas on a piece of furniture, you can use the wire wool to smooth and reduce the edge before going on to disguise and polish the flaw.

Can you use the wax directly onto french polish surfaces?.

I applied the polish to my table but because it had been lacquered it didnt perform well. Therefore, I sanded the table back to bare wood, it was then sealed twice using Hardwax Oil, the final application was 3 coats of Gilboy’s polish with buffing in between coats and leaving overnight to allow the product to soak in. What is the volume of each tin, would there be enough to do a grandfather clock?
