Use your cheap Dell with a normal power supply!
Functionally all this does is let you use a normal twenty four pin power supply with your old dell motherboard. The fit and quality seem great, make sure it's compatible with your motherboard because there's more than one connector, and this is only compatible with one of them, I'm sure it will have as much durability as any other adapter. And reusing one of those Dells is excellent value for money, I got 3 of them for scrap price basically. Now I can put my motherboard in a case that'll let me mount more hard drives and easily power everything. I'm happy with this.
