I bought this dehydrator to replace a tower style one where the trays stacked. I liked the more oven style design of this one. It has 5 trays that can be removed one at a time to check progress. The dehydrator functions very similar, no matter how many trays I use. I can use 1 tray or all 5 and the performance is very consistent and reliable. With the large, glass front, I’m able to watch progress without having to open it up and lose heat. When the dehydrating is nearing completion, then I will open to test for any residual softness or move things around if needed. Overall, it is quite uniform in temperature and I haven’t found that I need to fiddle with it. This dehydrator is great for preparing dry, healthy snacks, making camping food, etc. I like being able to control additives like sugar or preservatives to make things healthier. I also like being able to make fun, interesting things that I can’t buy in the store. The trays are a good size (12”x12”) so the machine doesn’t take up too much space in my kitchen. The size is a good balance for practicality I think. Something I can run for a small batch of dried herbs so I don’t feel like I’m being wasteful. I like the stainless steel trays because they are easy to clean and I can get all residual tastes and smells out of them. I can go from making jerky to fruits and not have one flavor adversely affected by the other. The dehydrator is also good for making wholesome and unique fruit leathers. I put a silicone mat down and spread puréed fruits and veggies of similar consistency to applesauce on it and it turns into yummy fruit leather. It’s a great machine and really simple and fun to use.

I am really impressed with this dehydrator. My previous dehydrator was a fan-on-top stack of circular plastic trays. This dehydrator is of a different class, with very nice metal grate shelves and the fan heater blowing horizontally across the trays from the back of the unit. The unit itself is very classy looking, and looks very nice on my kitchen countertop. The unit has many trays for a very large capacity of food that can be dehydrated all at once. I dehydrated 2 full bags on veggies on the top two trays, and still had many trays that I filled up with various fruits. My food dehydrated nicely. The unit comes with a very useful instructional booklet that details what temperature and time to dehydrate various foods, and also a recipe book with some fun different recipes (I can't wait to try the honey bourbon peaches!). The unit, while large, is not heavy to lift. The trays are easy to clean, and I appreciate the 2 tray liners incorporated with unit. The dehydrator works well and is easy to set up. The directions are easy to follow, and the unit it easy to use. I am very happy to have this rolls royce of a dehydrator to make my own backpacking meals and snacks!

So many good features to list, firstly I really like that it has larger trays than other models I've looked at, allowing me to do larger batches. The trays are also dishwasher safe which I very much approciate. It also has a 360 degree airflow system which def helps give everything the same level of dehyrdation so doesn't matter where in the unit you place something, you get consistantly good results on all items. So easy to use given the control panel and its saving me a fortune in fruit snacks for the samily.

Most nonsense product to purchase! Takes too long to reach your goal, and the electric bill will be up to the roof!! Not worth the money at all. It drys the fruits uneven

Ran about 30lbs of Peppers and Tomatoes plus some herbs through it so far and man is this thing the way to go. Stainless, 24hr timer, fine temp control, glass door, even heat distribution, on and on. Its even big enough to make my yogurt! The value to cost ratio is wonderful, its quiet and efficient. Would buy another without hesitation if I needed it.

I love this food dehydrator. It has certainly been what I’ve needed in order to get my kids to eat more fruits. I can’t make enough, the whole household likes the yummy treats I can make with this. My personal favorite treat being turkey jerky. The dehydration process certainly enhances the original flavors. I like that there are 6 trays that can be stacked on one another- this allows me to dehydrate different foods at the same time. The trays allow for air flow so that you don’t have to worry about overheating. The temperature is fully adjustable and the trays are dishwashing safe, making clean up easy.

Easy to use, great results making fruit rollups and dehydrating a bounty of fruit. Very quiet operation. Light weight enough I can move it around myself. Trays quick to clean, slide in and out freely. Only thing the instruction booklet did not mention was needing to turn on the power switch on the back of the unit before being able to use all the controls the booklet did cover.
