IMPORTANT: See my "Pro Tip" below my review for restoring these curds to freshness! Unfortunately, the word "curd" does not resonate fondly for people who don't live in Wisconsin. My idea of good cheese is chilled, sharp, aged cheddar on a cracker. Thankfully, I was convinced to give fresh, warm curds a try while visiting Wisconsin on business. There is no way to adequately describe the pleasure of that squeaky texture and slightly salty taste. You just gotta try em! But alas! My business interest ended in Wisconsin, and no one, and I mean *no one* has even thought about making these elsewhere in the country. I've gone to every creamery and every cheese shop imaginable, and the only place I've ever found fresh cheese curds was in Sanborn, Iowa - and even they have stopped making them now. If you want that fresh, delectable, squeaky, salty curd taste, then you have found it! Here's the PRO TIP: You must do this within 3 days of receiving your curds. Put half a bag of curds in a large coffee mug. Dispense 6 oz of hot water from a keurig with no coffee pod, or pour 6 oz from a tea kettle into the cup. Set a timer for between 2 and 3 minutes. Decant the water. Give the curds a few shakes from the salt shaker. Then cover the cup and gently shake to mix 'em up! The result will be soft, squeaky, fresh-from-the-vat, curds!

I have to add to this recommendation. I ordered this cheese on January 29, 2025. It was estimated to arrive February 3 or 4, 2025. However, the cheese arrived today January 31, 2025. This company is amazing and I love their cheese. I am a cheesehead from Wisconsin. This cheese arrives on time and is so very squeeky. I love this cheese and I will always order from this Vendor. Their cheese is wonderful.

If you like real cheese curds, not the stuff that tastes like plain old cut up cheese, then these are the curds for you! I grew up on Tillamook cheese curds in Oregon and have had a heck of a time finding anything close to that once I moved to the Midwest. These have finally hit the spot! They are so fresh and actually squeaky, just like curds should be. They have a great flavor, maybe not as salty as the ones I’ve liked in the past, but they’re creamier so it gives them a very delicious flavor. I will definitely be ordering more once I’m out!
