I follow a chilean kinesiologist on instagram that promotes barefoot shoes, and she says that you can hike without any shoes if you have long training in barefeet mobility. If you are new to this I recommend you finde a kinesiologist pro-barefeet to assist you.

Q: I ordered a size 8 wide and received a size 40. Shouldnt it be a size 39?

You can always order a 39 and return the one that’s least comfortable that’s what I did initially. Their return policy is great.

Q: Do these have arch support for high arches?

My wife and I both wear Vivobarefoot shoes. She particularly has high arches and has had a good experience walking and exercising in them. This is minimalist shoe so your feet and body will have to adjust to being more connected to the terrain.
