It doesn't do well on the carpet, but that was expected. It really moves on bare floors..... But, cats do love the little tease moves it does on the carpet. Cats watch and usually attack, it doesn't have to be a big mover for all cats to like it. I had 2 cats attack it while it was on the carpet....and another waited for the cruising on the wood flooring. I'm satisfied with my buy..... The cats are still after it, it's been going for an hour. Really liked the 3 sets of batteries that came with it. Also, I appreciated that I didn't have to use a screwdriver to open it.*********Update...... I thought the 3 sets of batteries was a brilliant selling and purchase point.... But I found that the reason for this is that they DO NOT last long at all.... I tried my batteries, which turned out to do no better.A BETTER ALTERNATIVE would be to buy the Weazel Rolling Motorball and remove the tail.... If my memory serves me right it takes AA batteries which is also a better choice..

Love this for my cat! Doesn’t work on carpet though so that’s the only downfall but it keeps him entertained! Would definitely buy again!

Cats like this but even if you turn it off between uses the batteries drain out! Not a good design.

This toy does what it's supposed to do. I have hard wood floors so it moves around great. The problem is when it gets stuck under a piece of furniture and I have to dig it out. My cat's weren't impressed, but that's nothing to do with the product.
