I am not an expert on tea but I liked this!

This is a great ginseng herbal tea as a six-herb blend. It comes as a clear pyramid teabag in a resealable bag. You can see the chunks of the herbs through the bag. Most of them are in roughly equal amounts, except ginseng and maca which are less. The dry teabags have an herbal fragrance featuring with dates. They give a bright brown tea solution with a mixed malty and sweet flavors at the very beginning. The flavor of ginseng would be noticeable only in the second steepening while the sweet tastes faint with refills. Since the sizes of the herbs varies among different teabags, the flavors differ every steepening. Nevertheless, this tea is soothing and delicious. It is comfortable to drink all day long. The six-herbs blend is an upgraded version from the traditional five-treasure herbs tea. They are superfoods with a lot of antioxidants, adaptogens, minerals and vitamins. These nutrients might help us in many aspects of our health related to brain health, immunity, stamina, digestion and energy metabolisms. As indicated on the package, the shelf life is 2 years.

This five treasures tea has quickly become my favorite. I think it's the goji berry that keeps me coming back for more. This tea has the most lovely fragrance while it's brewing, and the rich flavor is so satisfying. Each tea bag makes two or three cups of tea, as it's a fairly strong tea and you can steep to your preference. It a wonderful tea for the price and I feel energized and focused when I start my day with a cup.

No taste

I used this tea during my afternoon breaks to help me relax and refresh. The red dates and mulberries add a subtle sweetness, yet the ginseng flavor overpowers the rest of the blend. I also found the tea dissolves slowly, so I have to wait longer for it to taste right. While it’s a nice herbal option, it didn’t meet my expectations for a smooth, balanced flavor that’s easy to enjoy.

I did not like the flavor. It was a little too earthly for my tastebuds. I didn't see any difference in my 'health' but I only tried it once, maybe overtime you can see increased energy levels or some of the other health benefits. I'll keep it for my guests who want to try something different.

This review is only about the tea as a tea, not any how well any potential health benefits it claims work. I don't have kidney issues and can't really speak to that. Overall, it's not bad. The smell is pretty light in the package, but it turns a lovely pinkish red while brewing. The contents of the bag honestly looks like a handful of something you'd add to yogurt or trailmix. It did take a bit longer than normal to brew, but the smell is herbal/fruity and not unpleasant. Normal herbal teas can take longer than traditional, so I let it sit for almost 10 min with just below boiling water. I did use 2 bags for 16 oz of water and put it over ice with sucralose to sweeten, but it didn't need much of that at all. Before adding the sweetener, it's got a sweet+sour fruity flavor not that different from hibiscus/jamacia tea, with a distinctly 'medicinal herbal' background that isn't unpleasant or overpowering. Overall, it's not bad. The price seems a bit high, but it also tasted nice.
