Great after shower

The base of this oil is made of Sunflower and Almond oil. It's lightweight, yet still very nourishing and moisturizing. It takes a bit of time to fully absorb into your skin, but that also makes this ideal for massaging. This oil would be great on its own eve it it was just that, a hydrating mixture of Sunflower and Almond oil. But the real standout feature here is the fruity scent, and boy does this oil smell good! It really is grapefruit scented. It took me a couple uses for my nose to get past the grapefruit scent and actually pick up on the base oil scent. The aroma is very apparent, but not overbearing either. The pump is average, maybe ever so slightly subpar, not much to say there. Price-wise, PHATOIL prices their oils very well. This is a very competitively priced oil for what it is. I've gone through most of my bottle this winter, and I definitely recommend it.

Smell is not what I expected!

I picked up this Grapefruit Body Oil recently and have been using it for about a week now. The first thing that caught my attention was the subtle citrus scent - it's refreshing without being overpowering like some other fragrance oils I've tried. The oil itself has a nice consistency that absorbs into my skin without leaving a greasy residue, which is a huge plus for me. I've been applying it right after showering while my skin is still damp, and it's been keeping my normally dry skin moisturized throughout the day. One thing I also wish the scent lasted a bit longer - it tends to fade after a few hours. But considering the natural ingredients and how little you need to use each time, the 260ml bottle seems like it will last quite a while. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a lightweight body oil with a pleasant grapefruit fragrance.

I love the smell of grapefruit, but this smells NOTHING like grapefruit, it does however smell like rancid citrus. I could not wear it, and I could not get smell out of the back of my throat for hours after I opened it. The other reviews for this product were good so I was expecting a pleasant scent, not something that smells as though its gone bad. Its to bad, because the oil itself felt nice, but the smell was just terrible.

This body oil does a wonderful job at moisturizing. The formula is silky and comfortable against the skin, and doesn't feel sticky or too heavy. The oil absorbs pretty quickly, and leaves you feeling smooth all day. The container lasts for a good while, because a little of the oil goes a long way. The only issue I really had with this product is the scent. While the ginger is absolutely there, no doubt about it, I did find it a little overwhelming and I couldn't smell any other notes in the oil. Other than that, I'm super happy with this and would love to try another scent in the future.

Scent: Grapefruit This is a wonderful body oil for all of your skin needs. A good quality with a lovely light scent. I love all of the goodness that grapefruit provides for the body which is why I selected that scent. When I first opened the bottle, I really didn't smell any grapefruit at all. Barely anything, really. It was after I had applied this to my legs and then whiffed at my hand that I picked up the scent. Yes, a definite light natural grapefruit smell. Very pleasant and bright to the senses. When tending to my dry legs, I've found layering my moisturizers to be the most effective method. Start with a good coating of this body oil and allow it to absorb for a few minutes. Then layer some sort of a body cream or lotion overtop and you'll have wonderfully conditioned skin. Of course, even this alone will treat you well. You will have dewy skin for a while, but depending on how much you've applied, and the dryness of your skin, it will all soon fully absorb. Once that happens, you'll be impressed with how well this works. It's clean and good for most skin types. Well worth using over the entire body, especially along areas that need some extra loving care. Appropriate for both men and women alike.

Value for money and brilliant for skin

The blend of ginger, juniper berry, and lemon oils provides a refreshing and invigorating scent that lingers subtly without being overpowering. I appreciate the 260ml bottle with a convenient pump dispenser, making application easy and mess-free. It's suitable for all skin types and has been particularly soothing after showers. Overall, this body oil offers a spa-like experience at home, and I highly recommend it.

This oil has a nice rosemary smell. Is very effective on dry skin and the oil is good quality and not greasy. Definitely good value

I found the fragrance of this oil a bit too overpowering for my taste. I chose the lavender version, which also contains chamomile and neroli orange. The ingredients list also shows that it contains tea tree oil, which may be what’s giving it a strange overall smell. I usually really like the smell of lavender, but I just don’t find the smell of this particular oil to be very pleasant. It has a bitter, almost savoury edge to it, that just doesn’t work. I so like the fact that it is free from chemicals and preservatives, and that it's not tested on animals though. This oil comes in the box that is very presentable and looks suitable for giving as a gift. Once you open the box, the bottle is inside with a sealed pack containing the pump dispenser components. You need to push the tube onto the bottom of the pump assembly, remove the screw top from the bottle, then remove the seal underneath. You replace the screw top with the pump dispenser, and follow the direction arrows on top of the pump to in order to open it. You have to persevere with unscrewing, as it initially feels like the pump is broken and won’t push down. Eventually the black collar underneath the very top of the pump will fall away so that you can use it. The oil sinks into the skin reasonably well, and doesn't leave it looking shiny, does leave it feeling greasy for quite some time. It's not so bad if you use it straight after a shower, before you dry yourself. It locks in moisture and sinks into warm skin a bit faster. The fragrance is long-lasting, which is not a good thing if you're not keen on it. However, after about half an hour, it doesn't smell so bad as it starts to mellow. Overall, I can't say I would particularly recommend this product, and certainly wouldn't buy it for myself. I'm sure some people will like it though, and I can't deny that it leaves my skin feeling much softer.
