Amazing!!!
I only leave reviews when one is deserved being good or bad. This knife is phenomenal!!!. I am a borderline knife addict and this knife is one of the best knives I have ever owned. I have at least 1 knife from most high end knife makers including Rick hinderer and Chris Reeves. This knife is offcoarse not made of the same higher end steel as those but the fit and finish is impressive and the design of this knife....is the my favorite among all the knives i own. The gimping and finger choil, ergonomics and blade shape is amazing. This is as good or better then knives in the 100 to 200 dollar price range. This is much cheaper then that because of the non exotic blade steal of 8cr13mov. Which in my opinion is plenty good for daily use. The blade stays sharp andIf needed is very easy to sharpen compared to s30v ect. The handle scales are glass reinforced nylon and have a cool and very grippy honeycomb pattern which works very well and goes with the theme of the knife. The knife can be flipped with the flipper or flicked open like a spyderco with the hole in the blade. The bearings are a nice touch fir the price and are smooth as butter. The whole box and presentation is just phenomenal for the price. I hope in the future Western Active comes out with more styles and possibly with better materials. I can't recommend this knife enough. I don't know how they did it. Buy now!!!!!

Solid build quality, buttery smooth action and razor sharp and great deep carry clip.
The media could not be loaded. Overall extremely happy with the honey badger line. Currently own the large drop point in D2 and the large wharncleaver in 8cr13MoV. Both came razor sharp out of the box, able to shave with. Deep carry pocket clip has a great finish and so far after EDC for about 3 months no issues whatsoever. For me the D2 seems to hold a sharper edge longer, I rotate fairly regularly between knives and these are my first bearing knives, I've always been a fan of assisted opening but have found a new love for fluid bearing action and may not purchase another assisted opener for the foreseeable future. Both knives are buttery smooth as far as opening is concerned, the included hex key is also quality and comes in handy for tightening the tension of the bearing to your liking as well as making sure all frame screws are tight. I've had no issue with frame screws loosening on their own and so far I have zero complaints and these are turning out to be my favorite EDC knives to date. The price for me is is just right. Not afraid to pull it out to open a box, open a bottle or anything else for that matter. Scales are sturdy enough for me and I see no issue as previous reviewers gave stated. Single handed opening is a breeze with the enlarged thumb hole, using thumb, pointer finger, ring finger or flipper lever. The only complaint I would have if I was forced to have one would be the hard edge on the back side of the scales, which could easily be smoothed out with light sanding, which I haven't gotten around to doing as this isn't really an issue for me at all. I was so impressed with these knives that I also sent a large drop point in 8cr13MoV to a friend and gave one to my brother in law as a gift. For around $50 if you're thinking about one of these, do yourself a favor and pick one up. Treat yourself! You won't be disappointed! Other knives included in photos to show a comparison of what I typically EDC for a baseline of what I'm comparing to. Another favorite of mine, but not included in the photos is the kershaw blur.

Excellent budget edc knife
Incredible value for the money. I didn't give 5 stars because it is still an imported knife manufactured to a price point. Fit and finish is quite good, but remember this is still an inexpensive knife. What really differentiates this knife from the competition is the design. The blade shape is excellent for everyday use with a nice tall flat grind which ensures good cutting performance. The handle is nicely sized with a neutral shape which allows the knife to work with a variety of different grips and hand sizes. The action is quite good, especially considering the price. The flipper tab is nicely shaped and the liner lock had a good strong detent. It does run on bearings, which some people like. I would actually prefer washers, but the bearings seem to work fine. Lockup is good and the example I had was perfectly centered with zero blade play. This last bit is particularly impressive for a knife at this price. The clip is a decent low ride clip, nothing stellar but completely functional. All of these points come together into just a very well executed knife.

New Favorite EDC
I'm the kind of person who likes to use my knives pretty hard...this is one of the few I like so much I feel bad beating on it. The good news is that it takes a beating quite well. A few swipes on the strop and its ready for some more. I ordered the large version of this and its a perfect fit in my hands (I'm over 6' so a lot of knives are small to me). Even though its not spring-assisted, its super smooth. Real nice metallic snap when it locks. Lock is strong but does unlock easily. Its a very fun knife to play with while watching TV...so many ways to creatively open and close. The handle material is very nice in your hand, great grip. There are some great features. Something I always look for is a low profile clip...this one has it nailed, you almost can't tell what is in your pocket. The clip is a bit shiny, I'd like black, but this is minor and not enough to knock a star off. My other favorite feature is this index finger placeholder on the blade... not sure what its called but if you look at the pictures, you will see what I mean. It has nice texture as well as where your thumb goes so you can really grip the blade well for fine work. Please see my pic to understand what I'm talking about.I plan to buy the smallest version as well to be my "small" knife. If you like EDC knives, especially fun ones that sharpen well, you really have no choice but to buy this knife.
