I've only been using the pen with a new Samsung A7 Lite with a screen protector and it works very well. Nice click on click off with a blue light indicator, smooth, responsive and feels just right in my hand. There were quite a few options to buy and this choice seems like the right one. So far a strong buy.

It does not write smoothly and has a delay when trying to write. Also, circles are boxed somewhat despite moving in a circle.
