Gorgeous
Got her for my birthday and I was delighted. Although she is slightly different from the advert photo, she is very pretty and lady-like. He pink dress is so divine and she reminds me of those lovely 1950s type ladies from movies. Her little specs are just too cute! i fully recommend her and look forward to more in the series

Better than expected...
This is an absolutely beautiful doll, more than I can capture in pictures, she came very well wrapped and in a box. For the first time I think I will actually keep this collectors doll in her box... for now anyway. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Thank you!

Melanin beauty but way too expensive in comparison to other non ethnic dolls
Love this long awaited range but disappointed that the price has been hiked up for ethnic and diversity dolls making it unaffordable to some. Love the fact that this doll has glasses which is important for kids who also wear them. The doll is stunning and will remain in her box.

Unique Doll - Ravishing and elegant
I loved the material, sturdy and child-safe. From the inspecting box to holding the doll in her little hands, my granddaughter was overwhelmed with excitement. Great item. Perfect present anytime, any occasion the Aspiring Women collection dolls are fitting for all children.

The doll is so beautiful but what I most like about her is that she is made after a real inspiring person.My daughter loved it.

Very affordable collectors doll
I’m sure that Katherine Johnson would be very pleased with how beautiful they have made this doll but it is still a striking resemblance to the iconic Barbie. The doll is presented in a purple box decorated with a photograph of NASA’s control room. The doll is partly poseable with wrists and elbows that bend but the legs are not jointed so she remains in the standing position or sits down with straight legs. I find this rather dissapointing and would prefer a fully jointed doll.A clear plastic stand is included with this doll so that it can be displayed in a cabinet. The glasses are a good resemblance of the decade and so is the dress which is pink cotton with pleated skirt and white collar with NASA emblem and 3 tiny buttons down the front. She has a thin black belt around her waist and pearl earrings and necklace. The ID tag has a photo of Barbie Katherine with the logo too. Her hair is tightly curled in the bouffant style of the day. A little tribute on the back of the box explains that Katherine Johnson Barbie doll celebrates the achievements of a pioneer whose flawless mathematical calculations helped NASA send astronauts into space. Her contributions inspire young people to excel in math and science and to reach for the stars.This is a beautiful doll for any collector and the price is actually quite reasonable for a change. Additional characters in this series are Amelia Earhart and Frida Kahlo both of which are in the same price bracket so very affordable.
