these portable ACs are amazing. My upstairs and downstairs AC unit went out in my $2,300 ft² townhome. not wanting to shell out 20 grand at the moment to replace them I got two of these zaffro units. I put one downstairs I mean on the first floor where I have a totally open floor plan, and I put the second in my master bedroom. to my amazement after running for a day they managed to cool down my entire first floor at about half of my second floor. I've been running them pretty much 24/7 since July. I had two prior units from two different manufacturers that I used for a week in returned because they either were unable to cool my house and they both leaked / sweated water terribly which almost damaged my hardwood floors or would have damaged them if I hadn't caught it. I went so far as to purchase 3x5 plastic drain pans from Home Depot just to put under those two other units they leaked so much. then I got these news afro units prepared for the worst and to my amazement there has never ever been not even a drop of water coming off the units onto my floor. The units have both a cooling part and a dehumidification part and you can adjust both separately so you could set the temperature to 75° and set the humidity level to 60% or whatever you choose. I know these units were not designed for the way I'm using them but the point is they have outrun two other competitors and are continuing to run like champions. contrary to what I originally thought I believe these dual holes units are the only way to go if you're going to purchase a little portable AC. also I live in Houston Texas where July and August temperatures are near 100° and it's very humid. get these two little units got the job done. I only have two recommendations if you purchase these. The first is to put one of those little 20-in household fans about 5 ft in front of the AC unit because the AC unit needs a little fan like that to help blow the cool air around your room. The second thing I recommend is getting some HVAC duct insulation and putting it around the exhaust tube as without it the exhaust tube radiates a lot of heat back into your room. I was able to find a 6-in by 5 ft round HVAC tubular wrap at Home Depot and was able to just pull the wrap over the holes that came with the unit, then got some of that aluminum looking tape and just wrapped it tight around both ends of the hose. there was an immediate dramatic difference. where before the exhaust vent was so hot my cat would sleep next to it now you can touch it and it's just room temperature. I should have gotten that rap back in July instead of now been October, probably would have greatly help the cooling ability.

The A/C cools an 800 sq. space. Plus it has night mode where the motor is half the sound of regular mode…. Nice. A

Works great! Cools a large 2,000 square foot space with 2 units! I’ve used through 1 summer so far with no issues.

I’ve been using this ZAFRO 16,000 BTU portable AC for a few weeks now, and overall I’m really happy with it. It cools fast and runs surprisingly quiet — way quieter than I expected for something this powerful. I can actually keep it on at night and still sleep fine, which wasn’t true of my last portable AC. Setup took a little patience — it’s a dual-hose system, so getting the window kit in place took about 20+ minutes the first time. Once it was in, though, everything worked smoothly. The hoses are a bit stiff, but that’s minor. The app control is a nice bonus. I can turn it on before I get home or adjust the temp without getting up. The remote works well too. I also like that it doesn’t need constant draining — it evaporates moisture on its own, which saves time. The unit is on the heavy side, but the built-in wheels make it manageable. It cools my 400+ sq ft living room quickly, even on hot afternoons. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the window kit could fit a little better, and the app setup instructions could be clearer. But once it’s running, it’s rock solid

Perfect for my A-Frame house. I wanted an air conditioner that I could store away during the cooler months since I have wonderful breezes that come in through the window I have this in. The piece that goes in the window to hold the exhaust and incoming air tubes is very easy to set in without having to take my window screen out. I also like that this unit takes in fresh air from the outside so there are no weird smells from recycled air inside. The biggest plus is that the vents move up and down and side to side which was an important feature since I have gabled dormer windows and want to make sure the air isn't trapped in the ceiling space above them. My house is also 900 sq ft with a 15 ft ceiling with no dividing walls in between rooms, so to keep the whole house cool, I have a smaller window unit in the kitchen/dining area to join forces with this portable unit. When I want to just keep the living room cool, I close the curtains to the other rooms and it does fine cooling the main area down. Since I have high ceilings the temp doesn't get below 70 degrees, but that is fine for me. The noise level is also pretty low especially compared to my old window unit that rattled and vibrated.
