365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Brown Rice Crisps Cereal, 12 Ounce

Alright, I see people review a cereal like this as if it should be magically tasty like lucky charms. This isn't that kind of cereal. It's an organic whole grain cereal that I am delighted to say has ZERO unpronounceable and questionable additives. We've existed on whole grains long before the industrial revolution and pre-packaged goods. We don't need preservatives and additives if we purchase realistic amounts of a product. Ok, my soapbox moment aside... You can add flavor, like a sprinkle of real sugar and cinnamon, or little strawberries or other fruit, you see. You can make rice crispy style treats. You can add these to homemade snack bars. You can crush the crisps some and use for breading like a panko crumb coating. Sprinkle on salad, in your soup, on an avocado, as a filler for meatballs, SO many uses. This is a great product for celiac or gluten sensitive folk. If you can't tell what additives are troubling your gut, this has none. It also doesn't have anti-caking agents which are sometimes corn products or cellulose which can cause distress, too. (Ask me how I know.) Keep this on hand if you've got a family member with these issues and use it in recipes, for the whole family and see anyone even notices. Buy it already! :)

This cereal is great. It’s a version I can eat without having to worry about my food allergies. What I notice is they aren’t as light and crusty as others. They have a little more toughness to them. Not sure how to describe it. Definitely more crunch than light crispy of that makes sense. They are good nonetheless. I would buy these again!

Love these for making rice crispy treats

I haven't purchased Rice Krispies in decades, mostly because it is not organic rice, among several other reasons. I decided to buy this, because I miss the cereal/banana combo for an evening snack. I just opened the box tonight and I am totally disappointed. It is NOTHING like Rice Krispies regarding the delicate crunch. This is like chewing sand and gravel. You could break your teeth. It is also tasteless. There is no way I want to eat this cereal. I let it soak in the milk for 15 minutes assuming it would get mushy like Rice Krispies do, but no, still hard like sand, glass or gravel. Purchased on April 11, 2024. The best by date on this box is Feb 13, 2025.

As some other reviewers have said, these aren't light and crispy like rice crispies. They don't look like the photo on the front of the box. Many of the crisps aren't really puffed, and are just flattened, dried out pieces of rice. Not much flavour, more hard/chewy than crispy. However, they are organic and without added crap like "natural" flavourings, etc. so they are somewhat redeemed by that. I probably wouldn't purchase again unless desperate.

Glutten free brown crispy rice cereal has hit the spot for me. Just about a month and a half ago, my entire body broke out in a blistering spotted rash that is intensly itchy and quite demoralizing. Short version.... I have now been on a glutten free diet and cannot have even a spec of wheat or any foods with glutten in it. As a pizza, rice krispies, chocolate cake, pasta, you name it, eater of things with glutten in it.......this really is rough. However this glutten free brown crispy rice cereal helps me out through my cravings for cereal. Okay, the taste is not exactly that of rice krispies - which have malt in it ( so there is some glutten) and I love that cereal... however, the brown crispy rice cereal hits the spot and is enjoyable to eat. I recommend this glutten free cereal to a person, who must be glutten free, to give it a try. After a few servings, you will not notice too much difference between the taste of two cereals mentioned.

Love this cereal! I used to eat Rice Krispies when I was young, and this way better in my opinion! And it's only .50 more then Rice Krispies.

Tastes stale and old. Better off buying the original.

It is not easy to find a cereal that does not contain sugar, raisins, nuts, etc. I prefer simple, crispy whole grain rice, then I can add whatever I choose. Good product, fast delivery
