This is cheap painted plastic and the paint does not stick, but peels or scrapes off too easily. Also, when I tried to return it, I had trouble printing out a return authorization. The man at the store who supplied it to Amazon was extremely rude and not helpful at all. He said something like "well, so the item was fine until you scraped the paint off?" Really? If the paint is peeling off with me just handling the light to take it out of the box, does he really believe that's good enough? Sorry, not for me. It's going back.

I wanted a finish that wasn't silver or brassy gold. I really like the soft winter gold finish on this fixture. I had it installed in a guest bedroom and it was easy to install and is exactly what I wanted. Obviously it is not the most expensive fixture but I think it is a very good value.

This is the worst piece of light fixture I ever bought. Its gold foil on some random steel. The foil coverage is not done properly and you see wrinkles and breaks all over. Horrible product.
