Great to hear the songs again not so great remembering I used to colour my hair like Roy Wood very enjoyable and admin was spot on as well even arrived a day early

I was lucky enough to see the Move at their pop peak in the late 1960s and have been a fan of Roy's music ever since. I bought these as 45s when they came out and enjoyed them for their own sakes as well as for identifying the influences - Beach Boys, Neil Sedaka etc. I liked this collection for the mix of hits and misses by Roy's various incarnations.Like most good collections it will have me looking for more - starting with the early ELO.

All the hits are here plus more and I esp love the Angel Fingers remix which just features the vocal layers great to hear this after all these years too. If your a Rock and Roll fan who likes the sounds of the 50s and 60s your gonna love this. The sound quality is pretty good too.

Brought back great memories of my youth. All the hits that I remember and some I have never heard before. Enjoyed the Move tracks too.

Underrated genius who has been there and done that before the rest of us have had breakfast

A bit of a mixed bag, there are some pioneering good songs on this compilation, such as “See my Baby jive”, “Angle fingers”, the rare move single “California Man” & even “I wish it could be Christmas (it’s the first time I’ve heard the song on my stereo, it’s usually on the radio or tv, there so much going on within the song). But quite a lot of the CD has music from his early eighties period, which are all pretty bland & uninspired, the awful soft rock production values don't do the tracks any favours either , which is odd considering how popular the 1950’s style of rock & roll was in the early eighties in the UK I would have thought Roy would have been in his element. So some truly memorable songs, but also some forgettable ones to.

This has a great sounding collection of many Roy Wood hits covered in some of the other Wood compilations, but this also includes several tracks NOT included on the other sets. It's a great set of tracks! A must for for your music collection! including a short secret track...

Roy Wood's work with The Move, ELO, solo and with Wizzard is amazingly robust and inventive. He remains his peculiar self while channeling everyone from the Beatles to Phil Spector to the Beach Boys to Carl Perkins etc. You name it--Wood is a human jukebox. His work with Wizzard especially reaches the phantasmogorical. This is big, daring, rocking, tuneful, ambitious, sometimes dangerous stuff--postmodern before its time. And three decades later, it still sounds fresh and exciting.

This is a superb collection, and others here have duly noted Roy's genius. But I'm mildly disappointed that "Eddy and the Falcons" is under-represented here (where is Come Back Karen?). And I'm completely bummed that neither the MOVE nor ELO version of "Do Ya" is on here.

Whats not to like about the still " wackiest, most far out cat in the land" Roy Wood !
