The Fires of Vesuvius: Pompeii Lost and Found Paperback – Illustrated, 30 April 2010

The same as "Pompeii. The life of a Roman town", different title. If I knew I wouldn't buy it. Otherwise the book is an excellent tour in an ancient Roman town of Pompeii with descriptions of everyday life of the Pompeianas.

Excellent tour of Pompei by Mary Beard. I used it on a recent visit to the ruins and found it very helpful. i would it to anybody with is interested in thr history of Rome.

Very disappointed as this book has exactly the same content as the book as the book 'Pompeii - The Life of a Roman town'. No indication this book was just the same book with a different title. Feel conned

Please don't make the mistake I made and buy this book and Pompeii The Life of a Roman Town as they are the same book but with a different title! This is not made at all clear by Amazon who even suggest you buy both books to save money!
