Official Nintendo Pokemon Emerald Player's Guide Paperback – April 18, 2005

When reading the description I thought the guide might've been a little worse for ware, but when it showed up I was pleasantly surprised, it was in really good condition! Some of the edges were a bit worn but otherwise was great! Also came with the poster inside too which I didn't think was gonna be in it!

It was in near perfect condition for the book being as old as it is. The cover showed light use, but the pages are crisp and perfect. On top of everything else the original poster was still in the book!!!! Will definitely purchase more guides in the future.

Yes it's true that you can get all this information on the web. However, since my 9 year old has had access to Nintendo platforms (GBA, DS, Gamecube) we find that giving the game WITH the appropriate guide leads to more READING!!! And how can you complain about that? I don't actually play the games but I can tell you that in this age group (about 6-9) I find that the boys are definitely into utilizing the guides and as the teachers at the local grammar school say, any reading that piques their interest is good.

I'm not very pleased with this one. Practically every single Official Nintendo Guide for these Pokemon games tells you what Pokemon you can catch on what route/cave as you're going through the walkthrough.Not this one! You better turn to Page 218 for an alphabetical (not always the most efficient organization for these things) listing of every Pokemon in the game and where they're located. And you're looking at a tiny, tiny textbox that can be easily missed. All the other guides do this anyway but still include a little box on each route/cave in the walkthrough letting you know what you can catch, why can't this one? At first glance, it's because there's no room.But if you actually look at all the blurbs, some of these are pointless and could be replaced with the eponymous "box of what you can get."That one reason alone makes this inefficient compared to other guides. Otherwise, however, the layout is fine and the walkthrough is detailed; all the items are pointed out to you, all major events, etc.

Very happy 😊 with selection i got for the guide 😀 🙌 great condition in my opinion for a guide thats 17 years old 😀 ... but highly recommend to read descriptions before you order why I got a decent copy.. noticed other copy sounded severely damaged so avoided those
