5 Pound Powdered Hand Soap

If you have ever used Boraxo on your dirty hands, you know that this is what those other hand cleaners wish that they could be.If you have never tried Boraxo, it's about time you do. Wet your hands, then sprinkle a little Boraxo onto one of them -- it doesn't take much! As you wash, it breaks down into microscopic particles that do a superior job of cleaning by getting into the grooves of your fingerprints, to scrub and float dirt and grease out, without making the skin hard and rough.I use this by putting it into plastic bottles with holes in the top. Spice shakers work fine, but you may need to enlarge several of the holes to let the larger clumps come though. When filling bottles, you will make a little dust -- be careful to keep it out of eyes, nose and mouth.

On a whim one day, after washing my hands with Boraxo, I sprinkled some on a paper towel to clean the dirty, greasy sink. I was amazed at how quickly it made the sink sparkling clean! Though, I shouldn't have been surprised, considering how quickly Boraxo removes dirt and grease from my hands.That gave me the idea of trying it to clean my shower. Previously, I'd always used Comet or a spray-foam bathroom cleaner, which still took lots of hard scrubbing to get off accumulated soap scum. It turns out, just a dusting of Boraxo cleans faster and easier than a ton of Comet ever could. Porcelain, plastic, chrome, glass — Boraxo made everything shine!Boraxo is so gentle, you could almost use it as a powdered body wash. Well, maybe not everywhere on your body, but it does work great to exfoliate and soften the skin on your feet. It's something you can use to clean the shower while you're using it, without the harsh chemicals and abrasives of other cleaners.I really wouldn't have believed how good Boraxo works to clean the shower, had I not tried it myself — I dare you to try it too!

It was hard to find locally so I ordered the 5# box which should keep my hands clean for the rest of my life! Boraxo really is a superior hand soap.

I found this product in the mechanical shop of my Toyota dealer tried it and so I bought it . I have purchased this few times and will do so as it really cleans your hands well ! Not greasy good to use after gojo or like product to remove the oils of the grease remover leaves your hands clean and residue free ! Good stuff !

This is wonderfully old-school soap. It works well, especially for grease and such. It's impractical to use it out of its 5 lb. box, so I took and empty, plastic peanut butter jar, washed and dried it, drilled holes in the screw-on cap and filled it with the powder. No danger in mistaking the contents either as I placed a Boraxo sign on the outside. Presto, perfect soap dispenser. My kids won't go near the stuff because it's decades old. That alone proves to them that it must be toxic. In an attempt to satisfy them regarding its safety, I did some research and there's nothing toxic about it. I also learned that some people, women I suppose, use it as a sort of skin softener on elbows and the like. My kids don't like the grainy texture to it, but that's partly why it works so well. Great price on a great product. I avoided shipping costs by buying two boxes. The net cost was the same as buying one and paying shipping. I sent the second box to one of siblings.

Love this hand cleaner, have been using this for many, many years. There's nothing that gets dirt and grease off better that doesn't leave your skin all dried out. The only reason I gave 4 stars has nothing to do with the product, but the price is getting up there.

I LOVE this soap. Even with oily, greasy, sticky hands, that normal soap just can’t scrub clean, Boraxo does the job: your hands come CLEAN, the FIRST TIME! The bonus? When you final rinse off the soapy suds and dry your hands off, they feel so super soft and smooth. Awesome!

If you’ve never used this soap, you’re missing out. I was working a salvage and demolition project in a heat treatment facility that had an oil fire and after washing my hands and face with lava soap and dawn, the paper towels that I used to dry my face were still wiping off black oil/soot. This soap took it off and actually got me clean. This stuff is awesome!!!
