Comfortable and stylish.
These are hands down the best dress shoes I've ever owned, and I am PICKY when it comes to the comfort level of my shoes. I have bunions on my big toe knuckles and accessory navicular bones in both of my feet (extra ankle bones). I wore these at a conference where I was on my feet all day for 5 days, and I couldn't have been happier with them. I never experienced any foot pain. The leather upper is soft enough that there is a bit of give to it, so that they aren't stiff. I usually wear a wide width in shoes, but got these in a regular, and they don't squish my feet. Did I mention that they are also super stylish? They can easily be dressed up or down. I wear them with both dresses and jeans. OK, I'll stop gushing. But seriously, if you are on the fence, give these a try.

Great for my bunions but no arch support
The leather upper is supple and soft. The taupe color is beautiful, exactly what I wanted. The leather upper is soft and supple. These shoes didn’t bother my bunion at all. Unfortunately, there is no arch support. I ended up putting in a very thin pair of inserts (otherwise, the shoe would have been too tight).

Nice Durable Shoe
I purchased these shoes around six months ago. Sizing was true for me -- I wear a size 13 and ordered these in 13. They fit perfectly. I have worn them at least four times a week since then. I honestly think these are the most comfortable work shoes I have ever owned. I have been impressed with the durability as well. I must have a weird gait because most of my shoes begin to show wear in the outside of each heel after only a month or two. These shoes, on the otherhand, still look new after six months of regular use. I have worn them in rain, on long walks, and even recently in snow and ice. They have a pretty grippy sole (much more so than my previous Bostonian Flexlite) which gives me confidence when walking even on slippery surfaces.I can't think of even one drawback to these shoes, so I am giving them a five star rating. When they inevitably wear out I will not hesitate to purchase another pair.

Decent shoe but nothing to write home about
I ordered this shoe expecting it to be much more comfortable than a regular dress shoe because of all the positive reviews. Some of those reviews even said these shoes were as comfortable as a sneaker but after receiving the shoes I think those were exaggerations. These shoes are similar to the Rockports I owned previously and are not more or less comfortable.I would say the inserts have slightly more cushion in the heel than the Rockport Adiprene inserts, I actually purchased different inserts for my Rockports because I didn't like the Adiprene ones. The Clark inserts are a bit strange because I am used to having a raised section at the arch area but the Clark inserts have a raised section in the heel that is even on both sides (kind of hard to explain in text). I think it was comfortable though but didn't have them long enough to experience it long term. These shoes didn't fit me right because there was a slight space in the heel area, but the toe area fit perfectly. If I get a half size smaller the toe area would most likely be too small and the shoe would then be too tight. All in all this was a decent shoe but nothing that sets it apart from other ones. I decided to return these shoes because I was on a quest to find a pair of office shoes that are as close to a sneaker as possible and also because it didn't fit quite right. After more extensive reading the next pair I will try will be Dunham.

Beware the rain
I have worn these shoes for 8 months. They are comfortable to wear and fit well however I was wearing them last month on a rainy day and the water soaked through in no time at all. I thought it was the upper so after I gave them a week to dry out I applied a good waterproofer thinking it would solve the problem. No such luck. I wore them yesterday on wet pavement. Both shoes leaked through the front part of the soles. I had wet socks for the balance of the day. This is my fourth set of Clarks. This is by far the worst pair of shoes I have ever owned.

Loafers I can wear.
For years I have wanted a loafer type shoe that really fit and would stay on my feet. I bought navy Pure Tone at a Clark store and was pleased with everything except the price. After looking at Amazon, I ordered these shoes in black and nude. After wearing the nude, I am tempted to order another pair. The only problem I have is that the heel is too wide. I correct that with a heel liner. The shoes from Amazon are not as expensive and are delivered quickly.

Very good shoe
After using them for about 2 months now, I think I have enough of impression to rate these as excellent. The break-in period was extremely short (a day or two), the feel is cushioned and comfortable, and the appearance is attractive, with various shades of leather overlayed and strong stitching lines, it has a distinct look. I can not tell how durable they will be, but my early experience gives me the feeling that they are well constructed with a good quality leather, so they should (hopefully) last quite a while. The only additional feedback I have is that the picture tends to show a subdued change in the leather color from one strip to the next. On my pair, the change in the color is a little bit more pronounced.
