USB C Adapter, Usb C Hub with HDMI, USB 3.0, SD & Micro SD Card Reader for MacBook Pro,Samsung S8 and more

The second USB-C port (The one rated at USB 3.0 speeds) doesn't support charging doesn't achieve the rated USB 3.0 speeds! This was a major issue for me as I only bought this to use my external SSD and charge my MacBook Pro 13" at the same time while transferring photos from my cameras SD card to the external SSD.Now at first, this may not sound like an issue... Just swap which port the charging cable and SSD are connected to...That doesn't work, when I do that, I can charge the laptop (Hooray), but the SSD gets limited to approximately 30MB/s which is no where near the write speeds which USB 3.0 is capable of (640MB/s). Whereas if I plug the SSD into the first USB C port (Rated at Thunderbolt 3 (40Gb/s write speeds)) it will run at the full speed the SSD can achieve (approximately 450-500MB/s).So this dock/hub/adapter (or whatever you want to call it) was no good for me, however for most USB 3 memory sticks it should be fine as they only run at 15-20MB/s write speeds which the second USB C port seems to be limited to.So, overall, this device makes no sense whatsoever and I'm somewhat disappointed in it considering it cost me £55.99!!!

Used with an Samsung s8 phone.Pros-does work with dex-well made and looks goodCons-Without power attached it makes my s8 think there is water in the usb port which is strange.-contacted supplier and they also said that it needs to be powered at all times for use with the s8.. maybe others but not sure.-The usb 2 ports seem to be very very slow. They wont play a 4gb movie from a hd without stuttering. 7 in 1 USB Type C Hub with Power Delivery, HDMI Output, Card Reader, USB3.0 Data Transfer, PD Charging for MacBook/ Dell/ HP/ Huawei/ Lenovo/ Samsung/ ASUS/ Microsoft Lumia/ Google PixelBook/ LG, etc.  is the only usb-c hub that I have found that works perfectly with the S8 (apart from the samsung dex one but thats big and expensive).

Great device and concept. I bought this device in order to connect my galaxy s8 to my tv via HD. The wiring I assume is a little finicky as it keeps locking and unlocking my handset and telling me an sd card is present and removed every few seconds making this device pretty much useless and for the record. The multi port adapter had only just been opened and had never even had an sd card inserted. I read other reviews that said they received a pouch with the adapter, mine did not come with any pouch. Just the device. £25 seems a lot of money for what I received.

The Hub itself is great. Everything on it works perfectly. But what I've found is that it's rather temperamental on my machine. For instance, I can't use it on the left hand side, only the right. And if I nudge it, the connection is lost.But before you decide that there's a problem with the hub, I think it's just my machine. Hardly anything non-apple works on the left side, so I think it's more me than the hub. But if you have a twitchy MBP like me, maybe be prepared to be annoyed!

I'm a bit disappointed, the contacts are not great and I frequently find my computer issuing low battery warnings because the power connection is unreliable. It does also get rather hot, not that this is necessarily terrible. My friend has a cabled multi-connector that seems a lot more reliable. This looks good but functionally suspect.In truth I think Apple should go back to having the connections built-in, especially in pro MacBooks, you can get the 'air' if all you want is lightweight. You buy a pro because you actually work with media.

Good design and the ports all function perfectly. I bought this for my work Mac as I wanted something that was neat and compact. I really like the design aesthetically but practically the design covers the cooling vents on the side of the Mac meaning it runs hot over time. For short periods of use it is fine. For all day use I bought another one that connects via a length of cable so the vents are not obstructed

This is my third Usb Type C HUB what i bought for my Macbook, but finally this works. Since Apple introduced the new MacBook’s with only one type C port I was facing some issues with my new laptop such like connecting my external hard drive or my non wireless printer. This hub is made from aluminum, same as the MacBook, stunning built from quality materials, it feels like it’s part of the apple product family, but way cheaper then a similar gadget from Apple Store. Didn't require any setup whatsoever; worked properly right away, when I took out of the box. There are a few port located on this HUB to serve all my needs; One Type C (DC IN) for charging the laptop, a HDMI port, three high speed 3.0 USB port, SD card and micro SD reader. I had no speed transfer issues since I’m using this, not even when playing back a 4K video from a flash drive. Good product and worth the money i paid for it. Will recommend

I read lots of review of this type of device but as I know very little about them in the end it was a case of buying the one I felt most comfortable with. It’s neither the cheapest or most expensive at £20.00 and its early days but it worked well out of the packaging plugging easily to my macpro and downloaded photos from my camera.The process was very smooth and quick and I am pleased with it for the price.Please note that I have not yet tried the card readers but intend to do so over the weekend when I have taken more pictures, nor have I tried it when using other devices connected to my laptop.The device looks well made and looks good , almost an exact match in colour to laptop, very professional looking . It was well but not over packaged and arrived within stated time frame.I will write a further update once I have fully road tested the device
